Age may in fact be part of the problem. Parts do wear out depending on their usage. I will assume that you have descaled your machine at it's recommended intervals. Often times I see this when users neglect to descale on a regular basis. Check your users manual to be certain what they recommend for descaling. Some manufacturers do not suggest using vinegar which could damage some machines.

You may also want to test your water to see if it's hard. A water softener will do wonders.

Depending on it's usage your water pump may be going out. I would call a service center near you and discuss the issues your are having. Sometimes a simple repair is all that is needed versus buying a new machine.

try vinagar.

Read instruction manual first before assuming there is problem. It happen we are not familiar to the operation of the machine the troubles becomes- "operators errors rather than machine errors".

leave the power point turned on. turn off machine at the power switch (on the unit) This should bring the unit down....or Turn off completely unit and power point and the just turn on the power point...this should bring the unit down

Question moved from 'Advance Computers' to correct category. This particular machine is mentioned on Fixya 3 or 4 times a week, in fact I answered one yesterday. They have a history of problems. Your issue is likely the control board and would need dealer servicing. Hi,I had the same problem with my Siemens EQ.300. The problem was residues that are sticked to brewing unit. Here is the solution for my Siemens EQ.300Take a plastic brush and clean all part of the brewing unit, deeply, under tap water for 5 minutes. Dry gently, and re-inserted to the Siemens EQ.300 machine.Update: After a while, same problem happened again. This time, I have washed my coffee machine's brewing unit in the dishwasher. These machines are so complicated they have to serviced by authorized service centres at least once a year. Heat, pressure and plastic parts fail, plus neoprene O-Rings lose their lubrication properties and go hard. Yours needs dealer service.

The frother tubes get blocked. You need an enzyme cleaner, which is not the descaler.

This means that the thermocouple inside the machine is probably broken and needs to be replaced. Please contact Delonghi for this.

Probably something is wrong in the mainboard of the coffee maker. Please take up contact with delonghi themselves.

Check the tank float, if it is not floating jam something plastic underneath it and then you will get rid of the error but will need to check water level yourself in future.
