My emachinecomputer died
Emachines are prone to take the motherboard with the power pack when they go bad.
The are blogs on the wb for Emachines and every body states the same thing.. DON"T FIX IT REPLACE IT WITH A BETTER BRAND COMPUTER
I had one and did replace it. Emachines have no inline fuses to save the mother board as others do. That is one reason why they are so cheap to buy. Too many shortcuts in this brand of computer you see

Died. nothing comes on, so not dead drive.
short power switch pins on mother board, reset bios, short green wire to black wire on ATX connector with all drives etc.. power cables disconnected to test power supply. i suspect you have a dead motherboard.

I have restord my emachines computer to factory settings and now it running slow what can i do to speed it up again
add more ram is the best way of speeding up a computer
you might have to many programs running at the same time putting to much strain on the CPU
try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs
click start control panel administrive tools computer management disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start tick in both boxes this will schedule to on restart
do not have any input while chkdsk utility is in progress any might further damage your computer
scroll to the bottom toolbar bottom of screen right click you can select task manager applications also processes you will see whats running on your computer and ticking over if you see
something running that you dont need running select end now then you might uninstall that particular program you might have virus slowing your computer you might need to update your graphics card drivers
If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it
Click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question exclamation mark ? mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers
if you dont have a disk with the drivers you have to download them
this should speed up your computer
hope this helps you
And i want to enlarge it
Click Start/Control Panel/Display when the display window opens click
the Appearance tab. Look down near the bottom of the window and Change
the Font Size.
I counted 13 quick beeps at startup on an emachines E520. what dose that mean ? how do i fix it please ?
Thirteen quick beeps at startup on an eMachines E520 usually indicate a problem with the laptop's RAM (Random Access Memory). This could mean that the RAM is not properly seated in its slot, or it could be a sign of a faulty RAM module.
Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve this issue:
Turn off the laptop and disconnect it from the power source.
Remove the battery from the laptop.
Locate the RAM compartment on the bottom of the laptop.
Check to make sure that the RAM module is seated properly in its slot. You may need to remove and reinsert the RAM module to ensure a proper connection.
Replace the battery and turn on the laptop.
If the problem persists, try removing the RAM module and testing it in a different laptop or using a different RAM module in the eMachines E520 to determine if the problem is with the RAM module itself or with the laptop's RAM slot.
If none of these steps solve the problem, it may be necessary to contact a computer technician for further assistance..

How to factory reset a Emachines Etower 633id it boots up but says operating system not found it has Microsoft Windows ME Millennium Edititon (from Windows 2000 Professional)
- Boot the computer to the boot menu: To do this, restart the computer and press the appropriate key when prompted to enter the boot menu. On most eMachines computers, this is the "F12" key.
- Select the CD/DVD drive as the boot device: Use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press the "Enter" key to boot from it.
- Insert the Windows ME boot disk: Insert the boot disk into the CD/DVD drive and restart the computer.
- Choose the "Start Computer with CD-ROM support" option: When prompted, choose the "Start Computer with CD-ROM support" option.
- Run the Windows ME setup program: The setup program should start automatically. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows ME.
- Format the hard drive: During the setup process, you will be prompted to format the hard drive. Choose the "Full" format option to erase all existing data and perform a complete factory reset.
- Install Windows ME: Continue to follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation of Windows ME.
After the installation is complete, the computer should be in a factory reset state and you can begin setting it up as a new system.
Please note that resetting your computer to the factory settings will erase all personal data and installed programs, so be sure to back up any important data before proceeding with the reset.

Hi! I have an emachines laptop E525.I is not going on
moved you out of monitors and into laptops, only forum. emachines
full model not old like this example
E525-901G1Mi
windows 7 loaded day1.
- the switch is bad Lid close switch
- set wrong in power settings.
- or the driver is missing that makes this switch work.
so why not just assign the sleep mode, to auto sleep
then on what does the power button do in settings, set to
do nothing or set button to only sleep . (3 choices here)
or
let auto sleep do the work, set. set to say 5min idle.
the switch is inside it deep and if you rip it out as you go there most noobs break 2 or 3 FFC cable jacks and now it is bricked and $300 mobo wrecked
emachines or junk grade, made by Acer.com owned now
and that maker does NOT have service manuals making service a royal Pain.
best is work around the problem as I just told how.
or ask any shop to fix it.
they do know how.!!!
