Generally, any video capabilities of your computer will allow this 'monitor' to work with your computer. You just have to make sure you're input is set to the same input you're using. Example: Computer uses HDMI, set TV input to HDMI you plug it into. HDMI 1 or HDMI 2; if your PC uses PCI, your TV must have one, and input source must be set to same. DCI, the same. You must set the TV input to the same input that you plugged your computer into on the TV. #2, Drivers; the Windows 7 generic video out should get it to work. But, if you want driver to have more access to the TV's functions, so you can set size, ratio, brightness etc. You will have to get one from the manufacturer. They will let you know what driver you need. If they list a Windows 7 driver, and tell you what the name of the driver is, go to Microsoft, and or Google, and search for that driver. Make sure the site you get the driver from is one you trust.

The function in Question is available with the use of PC input function only witch requires a VGA cable. The owner manual says following signals can be displayed: VGA 640 x 480 60Hz WXGA 1,280 x 768 60Hz SVGA 800 x 600 60Hz XGA 1,024 x 768 60Hz 1,360 x 768 60Hz Other formats or non-standard signals will not be displayed correctly

It sounds that the memory IC haven't stored any data after scanning. Just do a re-scan, and check. If it do not help you, the main system control memory IC to your TV need replacement. Look on the back of the Left hand side of the TV. There should be a Female 15pin D-sub or PC input. Good luck!

well i have the same the proble with my sylvania plaza t.v however when i plugg it in into the socket the red light blinks then the green light comes on but then it just turns off completley...and the red light is still on ? is there a way to fix this problem or is the t.v permently broken??

That problem is usually have 2 causes..Its either power supply board or mainboard..

Please take this steps on how to determine the problem:

1. Open the back cover.
2. Check the power supply output...It should have 5vdc for the main board..12vdc or 16vdc for the audio and 24vdc for the back-light inverter..
3. If those 3 voltage supplies have encountered voltage drop...The problem could be on power supply board..
4. If the power supply output is normal..The problem could be on the main board...
5. If the problem is power supply you should check if the capacitors are bulged on the top and try to replaced it..If you can't do that you can purchased new power supply board..
6. If the problem is on main board there is no D.I.Y repair on that so you need to buy a new main board that fits to your TV..
