External power problem
It's actually the opposite. 1/8" jacks are almost always positive tip. I think you are best off using a 9VDC supply. If the voltage is not staying constant at 9 volts it could certainly do damage. If the supply you used was a negative tip positive sleeve you may have burned out a component or two...and more voltage than recommended could have done some other bad things. If it does not work with a 9VDC supply with the correct polarity you can fix it yourself if you have electronic experience. You could also send it to me and I'll fix it at a reasonable rate.
I've had the Ts808 for
LED's comes on EVEN with a mostly dead battery or power adapter. The electronics quit at much higher voltage than the LED indicator so a failing battery is usual cause of bad audio in these pedals..
PICKING UP RADIO WITH TS808 ON & OFF
This is known as self-rectification and can occur if the thing is near a strong radio transmitter.
You should check ALL your audio cables have good grounds. A broken shield on a cable can let in the radio signal which if strong enough can rectify (detect) and recover audio from an AM broadcast station. Note that some aircraft radios are also AM, You can also receive SSB type signals, however you will not get intelligible sounds.
High pitched noise from amp
Theonly user serviceable thing for you to check is the batteries OR power supply. If that were low, that could cause the problem.
What type of input Jack do I need for a ibanez guitar amp tbx30r?
i believe you need a 1/4" unbalance plug for the amps input. Basically a guitar cord. If I am understanding the question. ? or if you want to know the actual "input jack",Maybe it is lacking or missing? than that would be a "1/4" unbalanced input jack". good luck, I hope this helps.
