Hey guys, this motor is reversible. I have it wired to turn clockwise(according to diagram), green to ground; L1 (black) to P1; L2 (white) to T2-T4-T8; P2-T3-T5 together . When I plug it in, the motor turns counter clockwise and the on/off switch does not work. How do I fix?

I'm not sure I understand your question.
To get the impellar off of the shaft, leave the motor bolts on.
Open the back end of the motor, there should be a slot in the motor shaft. Use a screwdriver to hold the shaft from rotating and grab the impellar and rotate it counterclockwise to unscrew it.
It sounds easy, but the impellar is probably somewhat corroded on.

The values are stamped on the old capacitors. If you haven't got them, I would contact the manufacturers authorised agent for advice.

remove bump on motor and take picture of wiring before removing get numbers off try electrical supply

Try priming it water at the filter. Make sure that the filter o ring is sealing under the cap. Make sure there is enough water in the pool to enter the suction line and that it is not restricted.

Can't do it electrically. See if you can flip the armature and use that in that direction [bit of a long shot here - sorry]

If your label looks like this one and or if your label dose not have 120 as one of the voltages then you can not run the motor on 115 volts.

Yes this is an old thread but info is still helpful to those that are searching. Here is one diagram from a 3/4 motor. Be aware that most residential high voltage are 240v. This will have the motor turning a bit faster.

What are you referring to as the "Casing"? Pool or Spa Pump? Provide a picture Post one with your next question, or reply to this one, and someone should be able to assist you.

The 4 terminals are actually only on 2 terminals! If you look closer, you will see that 2 terminals are actually on SAME post. So... place a wire into one spade terminal, and then Cross over diagonally with the other wire. it does not matter which wire goes where. Just be diagonally across from each other.

When looking at a frame size you cannot change from the "J". This letter referres to the method the pump housing will bolt onto the motor. The numbers 56 refer to the physical size of the pump, specifically the distance the center of the shaft would sit off of the surface on which it rests. You can sometimes go from a 56 frame to a 48 frame but you will need to add a spacer given the smaller physical size. Some pump bases will have a stilt that can be switched around or removed to accomodate different motor barrel sizes.
