All whirlpool tubs must, by the electrical code, be connected to a GFIC circuit. The GFIC outlet has a circuit breaker built into the outlet. It more than likely has tripped. All you need to do is reset it by pushing the reset button on the outlet where the whirlpool is plugged in. Also, by code, the whirlpool must be on it's own dedicated circuit, so check the breaker in the breaker panel of your home to make sure the breaker has not tripped there. To reset push hard to the off position and then back to the on position.
Its not only counter clock wise you have spin. You have to hold the cartridge with a pliers. Then move bit back and forth then it moves a bit then pull it upwards to remove the old cartridge. Some times the old cartridge gets bit threaded in the valve. In that case spin it in both directions, tightly. It will move a bit.If its very very tight. Then spray wd-40 spray to the side of old cartridge.Let wd-040 remain there for few minutes. Then try with pliers, it will easily spin and come out.------

This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.
http://www.hometips.com/diy-how-to/bathroom-faucet-installation.html These pictures are not very good and there are videos because it's kind of hard to explain but, I'll try. The drain stop rod that goes through the fixture and would hang in your vanity should have a piece that bolts to it with holes in it. you need to pick the hole to go over the shaft taht sticks out of the drain pipe, That controls the stopper, taht will close the stopper when pulled up and, will open stopper enough to let water drain. You use the "v" shaped piece with the 2 holes in it to attach the two together. You have to position the v piece over both sides of the plunger piece and then squeeze and put the whole thing over the shaft of the pluger actuator. If you type, "how to install a faucett" in your search window, you can pick a video on how to install a "bathroom faucett" that will give you pictures. It's really hard to try to explain.
Moen makes six models of the Adler shower faucet. You can find the specific installation manual for the faucet you have on their website, at LINK. Select the unit you have and open the PDF of the manual on the following page.
You can find most Moen manuals on the Moen website. You will need the part number for the product in question to locate the proper manual. The website is www.moen.com.
I'm guessing this is a single fixture faucet. If it is a sink faucet, make sure your cold water is turned on. If it is a bath faucet and you have other faucets in the room, make sure you have cold water to other faucets. It you have cold water everywhere else, throughout the home, it is more than likely the mixing valve. They are relatively easy to change, unless they are really stuck in there. I am providing a video a on how to change the valve. In most cases, the only thing you can mess up, is, putting the valve in upside down but, if you pay attention to how the tabs, usually white plastic, are positioned when removing, you can install the new one the same way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-SNBNijfQc
There is a yellow tab at the top of the fill valve so you can adjust the water level. The float arm should be 1" above the overflow pipe. This should have been adjusted during installation. If it is correct, simply adjust the float. If the 1" above spec is not correct on yours, you would have to remove the moen and adjus it's height. You would do this by turning off the water supply to the toilet, removing the water supply line by removing the two plastic nuts at the bottom of the toilet, and removing moen and adjusting the height of the stem. After these adjustments are made you should be good to go...
Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,
You may have the valve in upside down or out of line some how. I am going to provide you with a video but, usually they are pretty simple to replace unless really stuck in there. You remove the handle, remove center piece then screw, make sure your water is turned off. Pull hanndle off and chrome decorative sleeve. Then pull out retaining clip, you would want to pay attention to how the tabs on valve you are repalcing are aligned, usually plastic and, may have writing or some size difference for reference. Anyway, try to pull the valve out and rotate 180 deg. Is your water now backwards, ie; hot water on right and cold on left? If so the valve is in wrong, also the water flow may now be restricted, if it is a faucet, so you may have to clean the screen in the fixture. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-SNBNijfQc Click on replay or select another thing to watch.
Do you want instructions from start to finish on top of the instructions that came with the faucet? Or are you looking for help with a certain step? Need help soldering? What is your question?
Pull the screen off the faucett, from the new install you probably clogged the screen. If you get good flow without the screen, clean your screen out and re-install. You will need to twist off the piece and the end of the faucett to get at screen. Pay attention to how it comes out so you can put it back in the same way.
Does it turn off when you push on it, put pressure on it. Make sure the handle is not interfering with the escutcheon. Does the handle keep turning all the way around? You may have not installed the stop or posi-temp gear.
That is how the newer faucets are set up the maintain the temperaturerequirements set forth by the government so that the hot water can not exceed 110 to 115 degrees. it is set up so that cold water is added to the hot so the kids can not scaled themselves.
The pull up rod is fastened to a lever rod that goes into the drain line and the nut that holds it in to the trip waste needs to be tightened a little but not to tight.
Tighten it a little and try it if it still does not stay in place tighten it a little more and so on.
remove the handle and adjust the disc in the direction the arrows indicate to make it hotter. all that you are doing is moving the stop farther so that the handle will go farther to the hot.
