Hello, a few months ago

Any recommended (see the tub instructions) cleaning product should be fine in the heater -- and the higher temperature of the "cleaning solution" should enhance the process. Just be sure to flush the tub's entire system with clean water before you bathe in it again!

My new heater does not work on my hot tub.

Test across both terminals at the same time. If you are getting 230V, disconnect power and check the resistance across the terminals. For 4kW, you should get roughly 13 ohms. If not, the element is bad.
If you get 0 Volts across the terminals, the tub is not heating. ManyBalboa packs switch both leads to the same leg of power, so you can get 120V to ground from each terminal, but you get 0V from terminal to terminal.
The clincher here is that the "heater on" light is off. I would double-check the pressure switch. You should test it with the tub running in heat mode. Disconnect one of the flag terminal leads from the switch, THEN test for continuity across the terminals. If you get none, you have either low flow or a bad pressure switch. You can verify by jumping the two wires together and see if the "heat" light comes on. Again, check for flow. I would run any of these tests with the filter removed. The symptoms you describe are very commonly caused by a dirty filter causing low flow. Again, pressure switch test. A bad sensor would cause the "current temp" to read too high, and a hi-limit problem would cause the little "heater-on" light to flash. Unless that little light is just dead (I've never seen it go bad), everything you say points to the pressure switch (or a dirty filter).

The on off light in my Jacuzzi whirlpool bath keeps flashing

The flashing on/off light in a Jacuzzi whirlpool bath may indicate an issue with the control system, and it's important to address the problem to ensure the proper functioning and safety of the whirlpool bath. Here are some general steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue: 1. Check the Power Supply: - Ensure that the whirlpool bath is receiving power. Verify that the circuit breaker for the whirlpool bath is not tripped, and check for any loose or disconnected power cords. 2. Inspect the Control Panel: - Examine the control panel for any visible issues, such as loose or damaged wires, connectors, or buttons. Ensure that there is no water or moisture present in the control panel area. 3. Reset the System: - Some whirlpool baths have a reset function. Turn off the power to the unit, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on. This can sometimes reset the control system. 4. Refer to the User Manual: - Check the user manual that came with your Jacuzzi whirlpool bath for specific information on troubleshooting and resetting the control system. The manual may provide insights into the meaning of the flashing light and how to address it. 5. Contact Jacuzzi Customer Support: - If the issue persists and you cannot find a resolution through the manual, contact Jacuzzi customer support or the manufacturer for assistance. They may be able to provide guidance on how to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. 6. Professional Inspection: - If you're not comfortable or able to identify and fix the issue, it's advisable to seek assistance from a qualified professional or a technician experienced in Jacuzzi whirlpool bath systems. They can perform a thorough inspection and diagnose and repair any electrical or control system problems. It's essential to prioritize safety and follow proper procedures when dealing with electrical components and water. If you're uncertain or if the troubleshooting steps don't resolve the issue, it's best to seek professional assistance to avoid potential hazards.

My Jacuzzi bathtub won't start-188 error code

Hi, Please attempt to start the jacuzzi without any water and see if it functions. Then you can fill the jacuzzi up to 1/4th with water and check if it continues to run. If so, continue to one half full. If this jacuzzi breaks down at these water levels, then you'd need to call the manufacturer to advise on what part needs to be changed to get everything working again. Thank you.

Moen cartridge retainer broke tabs Stuck in valve how to remove

No, replace the whole thing. That is bad design and inferior parts. Ask Moen to replace it under warranty. They might say No, but then again, they might know of a fix or if they had a bad batch of plastic parts.

Hello, Several things can cause this problem- if you post a picture of the inside of the tank so we can have a good look at how the fill/stop mechanism operates that would be great. We could more than likely identify some type of problem and solution. Not all flush/fill mechanisms are not the same but thats surely where your problem is UNLESS its in your water lines. I would love to help you just please provide photos and as much information as you can. Good luck! Mr.Mike
