Got an error code 5E00:021F
The error code suggests you can not get a response from the USB stick. Try another stick, try another port with the stick you have. Test the port where the stick did not operate with yet another stick. Check the device manager's report of the status of the driver for the device. Sadly, you have to test to see if you have a bad stick, a bad port, a bad driver! Run chkdsk. Run something like Speccy to see if it pulls up any information about the usb stick (with such inserted).
You essentially try to discover if the problem is with the stick itself or rather with the computer and or drivers. Here are some links to software that test USB sticks:

If the problem is with Dell hardware, you might have to contact Dell. Dell has its own diagnostic programs you can try.

Of course a dreaded destructive recovery to factory defaults can often solve some of these problems. I would certainly try to access a system restore point pre-dating your problem before considering such an undesirable alternative. Research the error code on Dell's site; but I suspect it is general enough that there is not a ready answer.
My microphone not working on my dell xps 420 vista system
double click on the speaker and make sure that the mic does not have the mute box with an x in it.
I am pretty certain you have a card in your computer for it mentions a 7.1 speaker system.
If you put your service code in to do a search for drivers you will get the correct ones for your particular machine. Download install and reboot.
If you are not using six speakers and one sub woofer then the pink one in the back is the mic

This can becaused by a defective power supply or a defective motherboard. Just to makesure that nothing else is causing the problem, remove any PCI cards like modem, video card, sound card, etc... Remove the memory modules and disconnect cablesto CD/DVD drives. Look at the USB ports to see if any are damaged.
No power light on my power button at all
More than Likely your problem lies in your power supply, but could also be your G plug power cable. I would first replace the power cord to see if that solves your issue, if it does not then more than likely its your power supply. Try changing the power cord and get back with me if that dont work and I will gladly walk you thru replacing your power supply.

Kindly check if it's still detected on Device Manager. If the driver has been removed, there should be a question mark right beside the name of the device. Dell xps 420 black screen after intel
Computer blue screen of death is usually related to hardware or driver. It is typically caused by software errors in device drivers: in Windows systems by poorly written device drive . They can also be caused by physical hardware faults, such as faulty RAM memory or power supplies, overheating of components, or hardware which is run beyond its specification limits . On the other hand, registry damage, corrupted program and viruses are the major causes of computer blue screen, too. According to the issue you've got, the following tips may be available to you.1.An efficiency troubleshooting step on hardware is to start your computer with the minimum hardware necessary to run the operating system. If your computer starts successfully it proves that one of the removed hardware devices was the cause of the STOP message. Otherwise move to the next solution.2.Boot your computer in Safe Mode by pressing F8 at startup. Then go to My Computer and right-click on Disk C to select Properties from the dropdown menu. From the Tools tab, perform an error check and disk cleaning. 3.If the about two solutions doesn't work, the last one I can suggest to you is to create a bootable disk. It is the most quick and effective way for you to solve the problem. You just need to download a software can burn your CD/usb into a bootable one and then boot your computer from it. Run the software to fix the issue after that. There are few free software for you to use, so if you want to take this solution money is indispensable.
Windows Boot Genius owns a better cost/performance among other kinds of software I've used. It may be a good choice for you if you have money to pay.By the way, reinstall your operating system can also help you out if nothing important stores in it.source:

Remove and reseat your ram. This should cancel out the alarm sound. If it still won't boot, you may have a dying hard drive. There should be some numbers illuminated on the outside of the case when there's an error. Search this number combination. If 3 and 4 are illuminated, search "Dell 34 error code." 34 for instance, is usually RAM not seated/installed. Also, follow what the prompt says. If it's disc repair, try it, but know that you'll probably need to exchange your hard drive. Also, try the dell diagnostic, hitting F5 when you power on.
