My xps m1330 booths up stays on for like 20 to 30

Sounds like the fans need cleaned or replaced. If the board and or the processor get to hot they may actually throw an error code. Try cleaning it and making sure the fans are moving.

It may be. Were you enabled hybernation for closing lid, this situation wouldn't have arises. You closed the while on means heat transmission may have caused this situation.

XPS M1530 video issues

Check out the ribbon and other connectors that are powering/connected to your screen. It appears you may have an intermittent wiring situation. Or the circuitry or keyboard switch that switches the video back and forth from screen to external output may be the culprit.

No display problem, vga's out to external, then after 2nd reboot, internal display works, but with errors

If you have already replaced the screen... Common problem when replacing equipment on laptops is that the "cable" goes into a flat housing that requires you to lift a little white "gate" then insert the cable and put the "gate" back down. Problems usually occur when snapping the "gate" back down. Pull the cable back out and be sure to lift the gate insert the cable and then put the "gate" back down. Once done give it a light tug and it should hold very firm and not move at all

you cant get a actual answer without details...such as which operating system are you using and what exactly are you talking about. For windows 7 go to the CONTROL PANEL and then APPEARANCE and then finally DISPLAY, it will be an option on the left hand taskbar. theres also a custom dpi option here so its like this control panel>appearance>display

Acer aspire 5534 hard drive compatability.

As with any laptop the Hard drive usually comes with a Pre-installed version of Windows. Best bet is to call Acer and get a price for a replacement. Depending on the maker putting a different type of hard drive is not allow because the recovery discs they give you will only run on certain hard drives due to a detect program that is built into the discs. This is not necessarily true for all makes models and brands but both Acer and Dell in my experiance do this for win 7 machines

Error code 2000-0146

I had the same problem and came across the following solution that worked for me as well:
Re: windows Vista will not start 18 Aug 2009 07:28PM I was getting a the same error codes and couldn't get Windows to boot up at all. I went to BIOS set up (restart your computer and hit F12 when the BIOS screen comes up), went to onboard devices and changed the SATA Operations from ACHSI (don't know how it got there) to the factory default setting ATA. Then I started up in "repair mode" (which was an option that was coming up when I tried to boot up before but never worked) - it went through a repair check and went to login screen.
Prior to finding this - I tried several things including start up from the Reinstallation disc, but nothing worked. I was ready to buy a new hard drive, but don't have to. Works fine!
Not sure what caused the problem to start with. It is an "Inspiron 1520"

Dell XPS M1530 PP28L will not start up black screen

great machine, try starting the thing up with the battery out of it and just the AC adapter plugged in. if that works then your battery needs replaced. if yous still get nothing and the battery indicates it's charged then unplug the ac adapter and try powering it up with the battery only, anything else is going to involve surgery to remove the memory and test that way. Are you at least getting any lights on the system? if the system board is dead you either won't get any lights or ones that were usually green (like the power button) will light up amber. this system is out of warranty now so if the system board is dead in it then the best bet is to try ebay for the replacement part and have a shop swap the board out for you. if you don't want to get that involved in it let me know i am a Dell certified systems expert (dcse) and i can either fix it for you or buy it from you and fix it up for someone else. I LOVE the XPS systems.
