Nortel 1140E "echo" Questions

...phone away from my ear and just speak - otherwise all i can here is ME. How do I stop the voice echo I hear? Try to keep the mic at a disttance and spek if you keep the mic near or the volume

When I talk to people with Skypeout, they say there is an echo on their end and they can hear everything they say. I don't have them on speakerphone, what can I do about this? Please mute your ...
