Hi and welcome to the site,

Almost always, the description would indicate fuel starvation. This may either be caused by dirt, sand, rust or any other foreign material along the fuel line delivery. Initial approach for a fix is to clean the fuel delivery system from the tank to the intake manifolds. Of particular interest would be gummed or varnish like film coating the insides of the carbs or throttle bodies. It would be to an advantage to pull down and soak non-rubber in carb cleaner. Thereafter, ensure no blockages, dirt, sand on any of the jets, pin holes. On carb models, ensure that the floats are properly adjusted and that the float valves opens correctly to allow fuel flow to the bowl.

Good luck and thank you for asking.

my best guess over the new would be a valve train issue

have your technician run a compression and cylinder leakdown test

either that or you are running too lean

My Tail Light Fuse keeps

Ok. First thing you will want to do is isolate the problem. It is caused by an electrical short. First remove the wiring harness for the rear tail light then engage the brakes if the fuse blows then you know its somewhere further down the line. If it doesn't blow then you know its between the harness and the light. You will want to find an repair the short. A multimeter will help in this process at some point, unless it ends up being easy to find.
Thank you,

My battery keeps going dead

Hi,

You need to check that your bikes charging system is working, put a voltmeter acoss the battery and if you are not getting above 12.75 volts you have a charging problem.

Check you have enough oil in the engine and that it is up to the correct mark. If not top it up this should make the light go out.

If oil level is ok then pull the oil pressure switch wire of the pressure switch and check if the light has gone of, if it has then you need to replace your oil pressure switch.

If the light stays on after you pull the wire off then you have got a short circut to earth which is causing the oil to stay on.

In some case's though if the alternator is not charging then this light will stay on also and wont go off till the alternator starts charging.

So check your charging first.

Let me know if you need more information

Thanks

I dropped my bike so

Hi,
It sounds like you may have damaged the stator when it dropped and cracked the housing. You will have to get the generator tested to make sure its charging. If not then it may have shorted out the rectifier.

Just check the oil pressure switch wire hasn't come off, or the switch is not broken.

If you need more information just let me know.

Thanks

I have a 06 gsxr

If you store the bike outside there is probably water inside the the throttle cable. You can try WD-40 or some other kind of penetrating lubricant. With the bike off, spray the WD down the cable so that it goes inside the covering, while twisting the throttle. It may take a couple tries to displace the water and corrosion from inside the cable. Also, you may have to unhook the cable from the twist throttle to make sure it isn't in the the twist throttle, itself. After all this you may still find that it binds. You may end up replacing the cable or throttle anyway. It's worth a try. Good Luck.

I am having a problem

if using electric start you will hear clicking, if there is a loose connection. also check the Condition of your battery, you might want to try to jump the motorcycle, a weak battery will cause this to happen because when a load is applied to the battery, the voltage drops too low and the relay cannot maintain contact.

If the bike turns over but wont start then you have bad valves or have lost compression

I have gsxr 600 srad on a 98 plate which at low

Assuming the carb is securely mounted and the noise is not from the tappets, there are several things it could be. One is piston slap. Piston slap translates as a worn piston "rattling around" inside the cylinder. Alternate to that, the wrist pin may have worn the connecting rod to the point where that is the problem. Alternate to that, the wrist pin itself may have wallowed out the piston on each end. Broken rings can make noise (but the bike would be smoking). Lastly, the connecting rod may be rattling around on the crankshaft. Change the oil and look for metal particles in the oil. No matter what the problem is, the engine is going to need to be torn down.

Where is the rectifier located on my 2004 suzuki katana 600

Behind the radiator on the left side. It is the device with cooling fins, even though the electronic parts are embedded in rubber paste. The location isn't ideal and sudden defects leave people stranded so what people do is relocate the regulator/rectifier to a cooler place. Perhaps to the air inlet, under the air filter. Follow the three, mostly, yellow cables that originate from the stator when you don't find it behind the radiator.

Why my Suzuki TF 125 losses power in the midway? What are the causes for such loss of power?

What do you mean by "Midway"? How old is this motorbike? What exactly did you do to clean the carburettor? Is it a new spark plug and a new, clean air filter? Did you empty the fuel tank to remove the fuel tap to clean the filter on the inside of the tap? Is it doing anything else? Things like - is it hard to start, has heavier exhaust smoke or it has a rough and uneven idle.

I own a 2009 Suzuki Boulevard. Problem is the motor is jammed. It turns but only half a turn before it hits something solid inside. what are the possibilities it could be that is causing the problem

A broken timing chain is the most likely cause, the piston is hitting an open valve, or you have a dropped valve or a stuck valve. Another possibility is something jamming behind behind the side covers. The key would be how you discovered this? Driving along at 105 and the engine stopped, or ???https://www.google.com/search?q=2009+suzuki+boulevard+timing+chain+or+timing+belt....
