so the pcv valve is on the driver's side of the engine master cylinder this is the back firewall. and if you look real close you can see it it's that little blue piece of plastic. that is the actual pcv valve so from the front of the engine you want to bring your arm.
Going on the information you have provided it sounds to me like the fuel pressure regulator. It is located unthe intake manifold and is a lenghty job to do and is exspensive to have done.If you have a good mechanical ability it can be done by yourself in about 4-5 hours.and cost about $100 bucks.
looking at the engine from front it should be in the right valve cover. a hose comes from the pcv valve to throttle body.to replace it, just pull up on valve to release from rubber grommet. have a good day !!
Replacing the PC valve would be my first move and inspect any rubber hoses associated with the valve.
Multilayer hoses (if they are used) can separate inside and block the access to intake manifold vacuum.
i need instructions on where and how to change my pcv valve on my 2003 chevy suburban 5.3 litre
