It turns over but will not start its a m1008 military truck wit a 6.2 diesel ive replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump it used to run like a raped ape then started running like trash and now will not start when it stop running i figured that it picked something up in the tank to i took my air hose and blew the line and in the process i blew a sensor of some sort out of the tank and im not sure what it does but im at the point that im gonna swap the engine unless i can get it to run

YOU COULD HAVE AIR IN THE FUEL LINES, I CHANGED MY FUEL PUMP AND FILTER ON MY 6.2 85 K 20 SURB. HAD PROBLEM STARTING IT. DO NOT USE STARTING FLUID. USE W-D 40 INSTEAD, IT WILL RUN ON IT AND PURG AIR OUT OF THE LINES. DO NOT CRANK TO LONG AT ONE TIME YOU CAN BURN UP YOUR STARTER. HOPE THIS HELPS?
