1995 Chevorlet K2500 - When left turn signal is engaged with the lights off, dash, all exterior turn signals, and cab roof lights flash with it. If I unplug my headlight harness, it stops doing this.
Based on the symptoms you described, it seems like there may be a short circuit in the wiring or a problem with the headlight harness. When you unplug the headlight harness and the issue stops, it suggests that there may be a problem with the wiring or a component in that harness.
One possible cause could be a faulty turn signal switch. The turn signal switch controls the operation of the turn signals and can cause strange behavior if it is malfunctioning. It may be worth checking the switch to see if it is causing the issue.
Another possible cause could be a short circuit in the wiring. A short circuit can cause electrical current to flow in unexpected ways, leading to unexpected behavior like what you're experiencing. It may be worth inspecting the wiring for any signs of damage, such as frayed or exposed wires.
If neither of these solutions help, it may be worth consulting with a mechanic or electrician who has experience troubleshooting electrical issues in vehicles. They may be able to diagnose the issue more accurately and suggest a solution.
Runs rough accelerating
try checking the wiring for broken or worn though .use a ohms meter to see if power wires earth out etc.
Ground wire location on 1993 chevy K2500
I own a c 2500 turbo diesel Chevy 6.5 liter and I still haven't found all the grounds I know there's one behind the glove box near the computer brain and mine's a 94 and I don't necessarily think your problem is a ground problem only unless it just recently started try looking underneath the radio receiver on the dash by the floor there should be a metal box that's actually the radio there should be a couple ground connections around there too and round the fuse box itself try to figure out which circuit those items you say go haywire when they're on and try following the colored wires to the corresponding items which is extremely freaking hard when you don't know the color coding or anything about electricity I seen Vehicles wear white was ground and black was ground especially second hand vehicles if I knew exactly where the grounds were I would gladly tell you
Excessive lifter noise
Did you follow instructions for adjusting the valve lash? Normally, you take out all gap at the circular part of the cam and then go another half or three quaters turn.
How to remove rear axle to replace axle seal?
First the wheel has to be removed. Then it's a good idea to remove the braking hardware(Shoes, springs etc.) for these will have to bre cleaned or replaced later in the process. There will be 4 or 5 hex head bolts circling the axle, remove these and at the same time place a small tray underneath to catch any small amount of fluid which may drip out. Next pry the axle out with your hands or a couple of matching prybars at 3:00 and 9:00 equally. The seal may be removed using a long, large flat head screwdriver blade. Use extra care not to scratch(score) the seal housing. The new seal should be installed using a seal and bushing installer kit, however, it may be done by using the old seal flipped iover and taped at a rotational method. Make sure after all is put together to measure the fluid level. This is done by placing your pinky finger into the filler hole . If there is enough fluid to coat your fingers firest knuckle than you're all set. Thank you, Dana
