Well ,2004 tribute there is a noise, all the time and I was told that may be from tires, that is from tire shop, but tires are still about 80% left, and if I change tires and the noise is still there what should we do. So we don't see any bumps on tires. It is hard to describe where is coming from.

If you have large tire tread then it is probably tire to road noise, this is nothing to worry about. The best way to tell is driving on different road surfaces. the noise will change as the road changes.

LOUD TIRE NOISE...WHAT WOULD YOU REPLACE THE ORIGINAL CONTINENTAL TIRES WITH? IT IS A 2005 MAZDA TRIBUTE. I HAVE BEEN DOING SOME RESEARCH AND IT SEEMS THAT THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM THAT PERHAPS NO TIRE...

tyre noise depends on the tread pattern/road surface material.so it is a bad tyre depot that cannot tell you which are quiter than other makes, same as ones that last longest. most customers buy the cheapest they can get and complain about the car...)any block pattern tyre will be noisy(look at the tread pattern on a limo)the only way you can be sure of getting a quiter ride is to email the maker direct.BUT be warned you may pay 3--4 times the price of a "standard tyre" and any suv is no limo......no block pattern, no grip in mud/snow....

2004 Tahoe- Check Tire System Monitor- RRRing vibration/noise

chevrolet uses tire pressure sensors for the system, check the tire pressure in all tires including spare and they should be set to about 38psi. If any of the tires are low it will trigger the abs because the abs system goes off wheel speed and a low tire will throw off the reading.

Front end shaking

I had the same problem on a 2003 Kia Sedona where the front end would vibrate excessively while accerating at freeway speeds. Over time it got worse and was noticable at lower and lower speeds and while just maintaining speed, but went away when I took my foot off the gas.

It turned out to be the inner CV joint on the passenger side. You can check for this by grabbing the inner and outer half axels with large vice grips or slip-joint pilers and turning them in opposite directions while listening for crunching or "loose parts" noises.

The CV is sold with the axle so I just bought the outer half axle for $80 (which has the inner and outer CV joints attached) and replaced it. If you do it yourself, make sure you have a ball spline fork, a hub puller tool, and a big torque wrench for putting the bearing assembly back on. You can rent these at AutoZone.

The bad CV joint also caused the bearing to go bad. It had burn marks and made a grinding noise while turning. It was very hard to get out, so I had to take the assembly to a machine shop to have it taken out and the new one put in. $35 for bearing and $30 for machine shop work.

After repair, I took an 800 mile road trip that weekend with no problems other than barely noticable vibration from the driver side at 70+ mph. I figure vibration was so bad pre-repair that it messed up something on the other side as well, so I'll check out the driver side bearing and CV when I get a chance.

2006 and 2008 Tires making wabbling noise

It sounds like you have a wear pattern in the tires. If the tires wear rotated from left to right this problem will be exacerbated because they are going in the opposite direction. If you can't live with it then rotate back to the original positions or replace tires
