It could be more than one problem.
The cooling fan could be running because the temp sensor is sending the wrong signal to the computer.
The ac compressor or clutch could be bad causing a heavy load on the belt and the engine.
I would unplug the compressor clutch and see if the engine still bogs down with the ac engaged.

Open the hood. You will notice there is a large black box on the right-hand side directly behind the battery. This black box is the fuse box. Pull the top of the fuse box off. There are two clips on either side; once you pop one side, the other comes off very easily. In the top left-hand side of the fuse box where all the fuses sit, you will see a large orange/red block. Below this block is a button that says "reset." Press this button for 5 seconds. Turn the car on and wait for a minute. If the light does not go on, turn off the car and set the key to ACC on the key ring. Push the reset button again, holding it for a total of 15 seconds. Turn the key to off, take out the key, return the key and start the car again. Allow the car to run for 2 full minutes. It is taking the system a few minutes to register that this button has been pressed.

Sounds like you should take it to a qualified repair shop. You don't have any automotive diagnostic skills . Electrical trouble shooting , using wiring diagrams along with a DMM - digital multi-meter . Checking main electrical circuit's , battery cable connections etc...
Starter Voltage Drop
Electric Testing Techniques You Need to Know
Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size. Under system click on engine then under subsystem click on starting . Click the search button then the blue link. Buy yourself a DMM ,watch the videos , test the starter electrical circuits .

How old is your battery? If you get a jump to start your car and it works then your batter is on it's last legs. You can charge a battery but if it does not have the required cold cranking amps (CCA) it will not turn over. If you can get your car started I recommend that you go to any battery shop like NAPA or Interstate and they can check your CCA. If your CCA is too low even with a full charge you need to replace your battery.

I assume you are taking about an automatic transmission. There are 2 main reasons why this is not working. 1 The transmission oil is overdue to be charged. 2 There is a leak on one of the galleries inside the gearbox.
The misfire could be a multitude of problems that may only be traced by plunging into a computer. This will cost you money by the garage, but could save you a fortune on lost time and you will be free to change what only needs to be changed by yourself saving on garage fees and parts. If you do this by a process of ilimination you may be buying expensive parts you don't need and still not solve the problem.
