Firing order on 99 dodge Dakota 3.9 v6

Assuming you know the basics of how an engine works the firing order is 1, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.
Standing in front of the vehicle, facing the rear of the vehicle, the cylinder layout is this. Left side is the EVEN numbers and the right side is the ODD numbers. Number One is nearest to you on the right side. Number Two is nearest to you on the Left. Number 3 is the middle right, Number 4 is the middle left. 5 is back right and 6 is back left.
At the distributor the leads should be fitted in the firing order sequence moving in a CLOCKWISE direction. On some distributor caps the terminal for cylinder One is marked with a number on the top of the cap.
The cylinders Don't fire as pairs they fire in sequence alternating right to left.

Looking for dist firing order for 1967 430 plus a vacuum diagram and what side of coil does dist wire go on?

The firing order is, 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2
Odd and even numbered cylinder banks. driver side bank, front to back, 1 3 5 7
passenger side bank, front to back, 2 4 6 8
Dist rotor rotation, clock wise.
If you put number one cylinder on tdc of compression stroke, then whichever sparkplug tower the rotor is leading into, in the proper direction is number one. Then you follow the firing order in proper direction around the cap.

Do I put number 1lead on 1spark plug

Yes, but do you know which is the number 1 lead? If you replace the leads in the wrong order, your car won't fire.

There is a firing order ..i.e 1-4-3-2 This varies depending on the number of cylinders and layout..

You haven't said what make of vehicle you have, but if you do a google search for (example) 'firing order for 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee' you will find the firing order.

You should also be easily able to find a diagram that shows exactly what is what. The image below is generic. It is NOT your car.

A way to check is just to offer the leads up to the engine block. You may be able to identify by the shape and length of lead as to which plug it goes to.
