Mitsubishi diamante trunk won't unlatch with the

your diamente, has split rear folding seats, however I can't remember how it operates, I believe the release is on the seat inside the car. you can gain access to the truck this way and there is an emergency trunk release (red handle) inside the trunk.. you can use this to open the trunk.. after you open it check all you mounting hardware for loose bolts or damaged hinges, it sounds as if it has shifted and the latch although is functioning it cannot release the trunk or the mechanism itself is not fully operating

Radio Code

Hi!

Try resetting the radio first. If it still doesn't help then try this--

  1. Take out the front panel off that surrounds the radio and temperature buttons, it will snap straight out.
  2. Get the serial number off the radio. It is on a sticker on the top, left side.
  3. Call Mitsubishi with the serial number. They will ask for proof of ownership, so have the title ready.
  4. Input the 4 digit code and enter it by pressing cd button.
  5. Also, try to find it written in the owners manual on the back pages.
Please rate this solution.

Thanks

I HAVE A 1999 MITSUBISHI DIAMANTE AND I HAVE A

The two are unrelated. A knock sensor code can mean the timing is off. Can also be caused by the ECU running lean, sometimes because of a O2 sensor. May be a dirty air filter. Can also be caused by bad gas or the wrong octane grade, or the cam belt has slipped. There's usually other error codes as well. The effect is poor gas milage, lack of power. It MIGHT cause other engine problems. Have all the above checked. The blower motor failure is usually the switch in the dash. A common fault is that only some or one speed works.

I have a knock sensor code on my 99 mitsubishi

If you have the turbocharger pushing too much air into the engine, you'll run the chance of a piston, piston rod or crank shaft fail. This will cause catastrophic internal damage to your engine. The knock sensor tells the computer this and then adjusts the engine to prevent it.
