Ok sure you speak spanish because we says to timing belt = banda de distribucion. I will write in spanish :)

Lo que tienes que hacer con la banda de distribucion de tu Jetta 1994 es quitar las bandas externas de tu auto, luego de esto lo que tienes que hacer es quitar la polea del cigueñal para lo cual iras a requerir un extractor de poleas, ya que extraigas la polea del cigueñal y quites la tolva que guarda a la banda de distribucion y a los de los arboles de levas entonces gira con el maneral el cigueñal hasta las marcas del tiempo q deben estar marcadas en el motor o monoblock y/o en las tolvas, verifica estas marcas poniendo tu auto en punto muerto superior que es que el piston 1 quede hasta arriba lo puedes ver con un desarmador claro para esto tienes que quitar la bujia de tu auto del piston 1.

bueno ya que tengas esto prosigues a marcar la banda con alguna tinta o corrector tambien marca las poleas de los arboles o arbol y la del cigueñal, quita el tensor y va a salir la banda.

cuenta los dientes entre marca y marca y luego de eso marcalos en la nueva banda de distribucion. con el tensor de banda contraido pones la banda verifica que esten en sus marcas y luego vuelve a tensar la banda con su tensor.

si no sabes cuanto tensar solo verificar que la banda no debe doblar mas de 60 grados maximo 90 grados si gira mas entones esta floja.

ya puesta la banda verifica y dale 2 vueltas al cigueñal con el maneral y dado, si quedan en el mismo lugar las marcas luego de 2 vueltas completas de la polea entonces esta a tiempo si se atora se pone demaciado duro entonces las valvulas estan pegando.

vuelve a poner todo lo que desarmaste y listo!

No fire to spare pluge

The 5.2 V8 has a distrubuter that has to get key on power and ground. After that tested or corrected to good, then the coil should be tested for key on power if it's not there that circuit needs found. Lets say its good then the distrubuter pick up the in the distrubuter can fail their $50 and most stores will have them in stock, their easy to change provided that your a good mechanic enought to be able to get the distrubutor cap and rotor on and off with out much troble
