Their are two options on removing the door crank-one the base of the crank top comes off where it is connected to the panel and if you pry slight with a thin tool it will expose where you can remove with either a torx or a nut driver-second option you must slip in door panel clip removal tool to relase the spring clip-these fly if you don't keep be careful. clip tools are at most auto parts store-by slighty spreading the door crank look down and you will see spring clip.Note it's either nut removal or spring removal.

Remove outside mirror on 2012 chevy traverse

You need a special puller for the inside door panel. Have to go to an autoparts store for it. Then you take out all the screws on the door panel. The you use the puller on the bottom and sometimes the sides to LOCATE and REMOVE the fasteners..Lift the panel up and away from the door. Careful about any wires that might be connected to switches. Unplug those if present. You will now be looking at a sheet of sound deadening material that has a tar like substance on it. You cannot really save this and it is messy. remove it and then you can see the internal door and window parts. Be careful because the parts are sharp. Long sleeves and gloves are recommended. See if you can reach in under the window and feel for the bolts. If you cannot then the window has to be removed. Locate and remove the glass retainer and remove the window. Then remove any bolts holding the window mechanical parts. Then you should be able to get to the bolts for the mirror.

Door has been shut too hard and now window will not roll up nor down and something is jiggling inside the door, the handle turns loosely... how do I remove the handle and inside door panel as I do not want...

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. All you have to do is remove the screws that hold the panel on. They are probably 4-6 screws on the outer edge of the door panel. You may have one or two on the handle or door lock area. If not, just remove the ones on the side. Once it is removed, you will then need to remove any foam or plastic that is in the door. The regulator controls the window going up and down so that might be your problem. Once everything is removed, you should be able to find your problem.

I have a 1995 Dodge Dakota and I need to know how to remove the driver side door glass. thanks .

First take off the inside panel. It usually has on or two screws and tree plugs that allow you to pop the rest off the panel off carefully. Once you get it almost off if you have powered windows and locks you have to disconnect them from the power source with the connection you'll see inside the door panel. After the panel is removed lower the window to where you can see the bottom of the glass through the openings in the door. Two people is better for this job. you need one to pull on glass from the top the other to hold onto the window regulator (this is what the window fits into looks like a scissor lift. Pull glass till it is free on both sides. Now tilt the glass sideways and remove it from the inside of the door carefully it is a tight fit but it does come out. Remember how you take it out because that is the way it has to go back in the same way. Happy Motoring!!!!

Removal & Installation
  1. Matchmark the hinge-to-body and hinge-to-door locations. Support the door either on jackstands or have somebody hold it for you.

  2. Remove the lower hinge-to-door bolts.

  3. Remove the upper hinge-to-door bolts and lift the door off the hinges.

How do i put in a window regulator in a 98' Dodge Durango on the driver front side?

for the most part, you will need to remove the door panel, this includes removing the couple of screws in the latch area and the arm rest pull. after this is done, traditionally you will need to remove either 3-4 screws from the bottom of the door panel of a flat blade screw driver or flat pry bar to pop out the panel. after you have removed the items the door panel should be set aside, and carefully remove the plastic lining on the door. locate through the access panel how the window is secured , normally by screws or bolts or by a locking clip. remove these and remove the window. there are usually three bolts around the regulator, remove them, in addition, there are 2 bolts on each side of the window tracks, remove these, you will need to twist out to remove, replace your new regulator and re assemble as you have taken apart, this is normally a 3-4 hour time period to replace, Good Luck!!!

I have a 1995 nissan altima and I need to know the most easiest way to replace the drivers side power window motor/regulator.

You could go to autozone or pepboys, they have a "Haynes" manual on the year, make and model of your car. In it, it shows step by step instructions with illustrations on how to remove the door panel and replace the window motor. This manual shows a complete how-to on your vehicle and retails for about 14.99.

95 blazer, front driver window motor broken need to get window up

When removing the door panel, you need to remove all of the screws first. Then pull the door panel off. There should be screws around the edges or the door panel, and 1-2 screw on the door handle(on the inside). Then pop the door panel off, if the blazer has electric windows and locks you have to disconect them first, if it doesnt have power locks and windows, you have to take the window crank off, there should be a screw in the center of that. Unscrew the door lock and pull up. If it doesnt have them locks then you have to disconect it from inside the door panel
