I have a 91 dodge

There are a few things you can check. There should be a large fuse in the fuse box in the engine compartment. I believe it is a 100amp fuse. If you connect the jumper cables backwards or even touch the wrong post for a split second it can cause that fuse to blow. Also check the connector on the back of the alternator they sometimes are dirty or have a bad connection in the plug also check to make sure the connectors are not open and are making good contact. Do yourself a favor and check all the fuses inside the cab and in the engine compartment. Good luck and let me know if this fixes it, if not I will research it. I will look for your reply over the next few days If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/edward_020b3320326d263d

Electrical problem, 91 dakota

It could be a blown fusible link. These are hidden in the wiring on most cars either near the battery connections, or near the starter motor. To find, use a test lamp and start at the battery and work your way along the power wires until you get t a place where there is no power. There is usually a lump or narrow spot in a wire where the link is.

My 1991 dodge dakota truck will shut off while I'm

Dakotas and Durangos are notorious for crankshaft position sensor failures. Often these start off as intermittent issues. When they occur, it's like someone shuts off the key. If may start right back up or may take minutes or hours to clear up. It isn't the only thing that can cause this issue, but is the first one I'd look at. The sensor is relatively cheap ($50.00) and is easily installed as it is attached to the transmission bell housing.

91 Dakota prks tal lmps. get the switch just right they come on you pull out for the heads 2 come on, out just tals , think it was the switch cuz the sweet spot on the pull. New switch same thing.

Check the electrical connector to the switch. It might be partially melted and bowed out. They do sell separate switch connectors, if yours is bad.
