Key fob is batteryless model, self-charging, and the spare key fob is doing exactly the same thing - so not a problem with the key it would seem.
If you can take apart it will be dirt gave it a clean or if it could be a worn open switch you may need a new fob.
Strange that both fobs are doing exactly the same thing though? Doesn't that make it more likely that is it somehow the door mechanism? Do the doors operate on a fuse perhaps? Any idea where that fuse might be?
I have cracked open the fob in the past, when I was incorrectly advised that it needed a new battery - only to find it doesn't have a battery! I am loath to crack it open again as I had to glue it back together previously - it is not designed to open.

unlock with key and hold key over for 30 secs(windows may go down)then lock with key and hold over for 30 secs(windows may go up)then press remote unlock button and hold for 30 secs, you have just reset system...the closer you have to get to the car for the remote to work the lower the battery power.sensor on top of dash(little black dimple)rarely,if at all, goes wrong.....
SOURCE: my passenger door central locking has stopped
Method 1: Press lock or unlock button 4 times in succession. Method 2: Switch ignition ON and OFF. Within 10 seconds press lock and unlock button in succession.
This is the only manual reset
If this does not work go to your local auto electrician
The probable fault could be central locking activator passenger door
