1994 Astro is cranking but has no spark, I already replaced the distributer cap and rotor (both showed signs of wear-off/corrosion) and also replaced the ignition coil.

Tried to start the van after it stood for about 4 weeks with very low fuel. It started immediately but then went out after about 10m driving. Wasn´t able to start since then.

crankshaft sensor, or computer on toyotas then it was usually the distributor or the computer, but the crankshaft sensor might be bad too thats what helps to get you spark.

My 2000, dodge durango, will turn over but will not start. I do not think i am getting spark . Please help

It sounds like you may be experiencing an issue with your ignition system. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot:
  1. Check the spark plugs: Inspect the spark plugs for signs of wear or damage. If they appear worn or fouled, consider replacing them.
  2. Test the ignition coil: Use a spark tester to check if the ignition coil is producing spark. If there is no spark, the ignition coil may need to be replaced.
  3. Inspect the ignition wires: Check the ignition wires for any signs of damage or corrosion. Replace any wires that appear damaged.
  4. Check the distributor cap and rotor: If your vehicle is equipped with a distributor, inspect the distributor cap and rotor for signs of wear or damage. Replace them if necessary.
  5. Verify fuel delivery: Ensure that your vehicle is receiving fuel by checking the fuel pump and fuel injectors. If fuel delivery is not the issue, focus on diagnosing the ignition system.
If you're unable to identify the problem, it may be best to consult a professional mechanic for further assistance. They will have the tools and expertise to diagnose and repair the issue effectively.

Why does it lose power and misfire when it gets warm?

Start with the Distributer cap and Rotor ( cracks & wear ), then under the rotor is a 3/4" circle shaped piece ( can't remember proper name ) with 2 wires which generates spark, then check coil pack, and finish with plug wires.

My 1994 Jeep grand cherokee won't start. It tries to start but doesn't. Tried replacing cap and rotor and still will not start. When I checked the spark it was yellow. What does that mean?

Yellow means weak spark should be blue check the coil tower where the coil wire attaches on the coil for corrosion. Also check the spark plugs for wear.

Dont know what the problem is

Check fuel pressure and check for spark and check that the airflow meter is operating, check for timing as well. Check for any wiring problems(loose connections, corrosion, condensation in distributor cap. Check distributor cap+rotor plug wire from coil to distributor. Check for any worn or damaged wiring or bad ground wire contacts. Air, Fuel, Spark and Timing are the key elements for an engine to run.

HOW TO RETRIEVE ECU FAULT CODES 94 HONDA CIVIC

Try a honda civic forum online or maybe autozones free auto repair information site online. Check your fuel pressure, spark, timing and air flow meter. When was the last time the car was tuned up? Check air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, distributor cap+rotor and the ignition timing. Check for loose or corrosion around and or on contact points of wiring ( power, ground, and your spark plug wires if theres any sign of wear or corrosion.) Make sure fuel is fresh and not stale from aging over time.
