SOURCE: charge ac

It is located under the hood in the larger of the 2 AC lines, this large line is the low pressure line, also check on the round can the low side line connects to as it can be on that as well, that part is called the Accumulator/reciever drier

SOURCE: i need to add freon ton a 1998 suburban. I

If the compressor will run turn it on and let it run for a few minutes, the line that gets cold is the low pressure side, this is usually the one closest to the firewall. The reason that they are 6 inches apart is that they are on opposite sides of the orfice tube, hence one is high pressure and one is low.

SOURCE: where is the ac lowside port located on a 2005 gmc

The low side port of the 2005 GMC savanna Van is located on the low pressure side of the compressor.

This is found by locating the compressor driven by a belt that has a clutch that engages and disengages as the a/c cycles.

The low pressure piping is always in the larger diameter piping, and the high pressure side is always contained in the smaller diameter piping.

Therefore, follow the thick pipes from the compressor up to the accumulator, which looks like a large can of soup. On the accumulator receiver/drier is a port that connects to the tube that is connected to the can of r134a freon refrigerant.

Simply quick connect the tube to the low side port, which is located on the 'thick' tubing or on the accumulator and then fill until the low side pressure is 25 psi to 45 psi while the compressor is running.

When the car is off and the compressor is not running, the pressure should be 75 psi to 100 psi on a hot day.

Hopefully the system doesn't have a leak slow or fast in it.

SOURCE: which port is the low

The low side port is always the smaller fitting on the larger line. The high side is always the larger fitting on the smaller line. They do this so that the low side fitting can not be mixed up and placed on a high side port.

AC won't cool, clutch continuosly snaps on and off.

Hi...
The first step is : check if the car is lower in freon.
because when the system is low . the cycling switch turn off the compressor when the pressure goes lower that 25 psi.
Get a Can of freon and charge for the LOW side service port.

But if you note that the system is full on freon.
make a BY PASS on the CYCLING Switch.
Is located on the Filter dryer.( acunmulator)
and see if the a/c is cold enought.

OK.. I hope this help on your problem...

Where is the ac port located to add freon

On a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero LTD, the a/c charging port is between the battery and the windshield. It is the port that has a cap labeled with an "L" (Low Side).

When the a/c is on, "L" (Low Side) gets cold while the "H" (High Side) gets hot.

Make sure you use the Low Side (cold) for adding Freon.

(note: over the counter freon kits should not fit the High Side port anyways) 6d9ed8b1-112d-471e-93a4-44bee9a08459.jpg

How do you connect a/c charger to make your central air cooler

The 1998 Dodge Caravan ac should be charged at the low pressure service port. This port is located on the suction line near the compressor. The suction line can be identified by it's size, it being the larger of the two line connected to the compressor. You must purchase a recharge kit at your local part store, which should include charging hose with pressure gauge and a can of R134a freon. Gloves and eye protection should be worn during servicing.(freon can freeze your eyes and cause frost bite to your hands). Connect freon to charging hose, connect charging hose to low pressure service port, open valves and start engine, turn on ac. If compressor won't start it may be required to disconnect the low pressure switch and jump out the connector.

How do i charge the air conditioner on a 2000 ford focus. Where are the connectors

Look for the ac compressor, and locate the large ac line coming off the ac compressor.Follow it until you come to the ac charge port.this is where you charge it up with a charge hose that you have.Put the can on the can tap,and the quick connect to the ac port on the ac.Turn the t handle on the can tap clockwise until all the way down.hold the can upside down.start engine and turn the ac on high blower.and recirculate.shake can lightly, until the can empties.Turn the t handle counter clock wise, almost all the way out,and remove the can .Repeat to add another can,Don`t put too much freon in,and add ac oil also.If it lost freon,it lost oil, failing to do this could cause the ac compressor to lock up.One 4 oz can will be fine.look for the large ac line to get cold, and the accumulator to get real cold, then stop with the freon.

Where does the freon go for a 99 expedition

Hi .. I just ran into the same problem .. I have a 2000 Expedition with the 5.4L engine .. the low side port is located on the passenger side of engine compartment just below the black metal bracket that contains electrical connections right in front of the firewall... you have to reach under this and locate the low side (larger line) and feel for the connection .. it is right in front of the accumulator .. There are two heater hose that hide the port .. you have reach under these to unscrew the port cap which is black .. you'll have to do this by feel .. I have found that you can by R134A charge with dye and leak sealant helps with small leaks .. if the system takes more than two cans be usre to add refrig. oil .. hope this helps
