Your ac system has actuated doors control the temperature. Your right side temp actuator has failed. As you can see n this picture from the factory manual. That is called your hvac box or ip carrier. It's under the passenger side of your dash behind the glove box. Number 4 is the air temperature actuator for the right(passenger side) that's your faulty component. Unfortunately it's on top of the hvac box and the only way to access it seems to be by removing the dash and is a lengthy repair.
Seems to be some difference in names. I changed what was caused blend door, after removing the glove box it was on the right. There was another actuator to the left and another actuator on the drivers side. Basically you should have two actuators behind the glove box and one on the drivers side. These video call the actuator on left blend door also.
Most repairs to the heater/Ac system require the dash assembly to be removed for access. Not a job for someone unless they are experienced due t air bags and electronics
you have shutter actuators that are mounted externally on you heater core enclosure inbetween your dash and firewall most likely in center. if not in center then behind glove box.
I've seen this before. Mice. if small enough enter from the outside into the air intake and get into the fan and motor. The least fix is to remove the fan and motor assy. the worst is you will have to have a qualified technician remove the whole dash assembly.
Assuming that the car has dual climate control... There is an air blend door actuator that controls the air blend of the climate control system. If the link that connects the actuator to the lever that opens and shuts the heater core became disconnected, then depending on the direction of the last bump you went over you opened or shut the heater core. The actuator and link for the drivers side are behind the dash and hard to get to. If you want to know what you are looking for, the one on the passenger side is very accessible. Just drop the glove box, and looking somewhat upwards behind the air bag door, you'll see a white lever with a metal rod connecting it to the actuator motor. Just change between heat and AC and watch it move. The actuator is a dealer part and really expensive. Just pull the passenger one from a junk yard and have someone install it on the driver side; it'll save you a bundle! Good Luck
that clicking noise is coming from a one of the blend door actuators under the dash. not too bad to change. while it's clicking, feel behind the dash in the area you hear it, to get an idea where it is. most likely your only problem. good luck with it ....
