The problem here is the remote start system is not giving out the correct transponder code to the security system, this locks out the starter. As to how you program the remote start I have no clue as to what you need to do.
Remote Transmitter Programming
NOTE: All keyless entry remote transmitters must be programmed at the same time. NOTE: Programming (or reprogramming) the keyless entry remote transmitters into the central security module can be accomplished using a diagnostic tool or by carrying out the following steps.
Turn the ignition switch from OFF to RUN eight times within 10 seconds, ending in RUN. If the module has successfully entered program mode, it will lock and then unlock all doors.
Within 20 seconds, press any button on a keyless entry remote transmitter, and the doors will lock and then unlock to confirm that each keyless entry remote transmitter has been programmed. Repeat this step for each transmitter.
If the door locks do not respond for any keyless entry remote transmitter, wait several seconds and press the button again. If the door locks still fail to respond, refer to Inspection and Verification.
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, or wait up to 20 seconds after Step 2, to exit program mode. If a keyless entry remote transmitter has been programmed (or reprogrammed), the doors will lock and unlock one last time to confirm.
This is the rather standard method for most GM vehicles; if it does not work I will research further. It may seem daunting at first, I have done this a lot and it is much easier if you do the steps while someone else calls them out to you.
Get in the drivers seat and close all the vehicle doors.
Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder (do not turn it yet).
Press and hold the DOOR unlock switch. While holding the DOOR unlock switch, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF. Release the DOOR unlock switch.
The doors will lock and unlock to confirm that it entered "program mode".
If they do not lock and unlock, it did not enter program mode, so repeat the above steps until it enters program mode.
Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one keyless remote. After a delay of approximately 15 seconds , the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter. Repeat the previous step to program up to four transmitters. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN (one more click forward) position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter mode. Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation, and that is it. Good Luck!
programing a remote is not hard but it is timing is every thing! set up. driver's door open all others closed. all movements are done at one second intervals. 1 insert the key in the ignition and remove it twice 2 close and open the door twice. 3 insert and remove the key once 4 close and open the door twice. 5 insert the key 6 close door 7 rotate key to run back to off and remove. (locks should cycle once) 8 press both the lock and unlock buttons for a second on the remote. 9 press the remote's lock button (locks should cycle once more)
Use this procedure for New Body Style. 1. Close all doors 2. Insert key into ignition 3. Hold down the power UNLOCK button on the driver's door panel, continue to hold down until instructed to release in step 9. 4. Perform steps 5 through 8 in a fairly rapid succession. 5. Turn the ignition to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the engine.) 6. Turn the ignition to the OFF position. 7. Turn the ignition to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the engine.) 8. Turn the ignition to the OFF position. 9. Release the power UNLOCK button on the door panel. The vehicle should respond by door locks locking and unlocking automatically. (If locks do not cycle after you let go, not before you let go of the unlock button, then the vehicle has not entered programming mode and you must start procedure over. Remove key from ignition, open drivers door and return to step 1 ). If the locks do cycle automatically then proceed to step 10. 10. Hold down the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote until the doors lock and unlock. This may take up to 30 seconds. 11. Repeat step 10 NOW for each additional remote. (Including any existing remotes). 12. Turn the ignition to the ON position to exit the programming mode. 13. Test remote(s).
ATTENTION:You MUST HAVE one working remote to add one more to the system. If you do not have one working remote right now then these instructions will not work. You will have to have a Locksmith or dealership use a computer to program the first remote for you.
1. Press LOCK button 5 times at 2 second intervals to resynchronize remote. 2. Insert key into the ignition switch. Turn ignition to the RUN position (as far as you can go without cranking engine). Wait for ignition chimes to stop.
3. Using the working remote, press and hold the UNLOCK button on the remote for 4 to 10 seconds. 4. Within the specified 4 to 10 seconds, continue pressing the UNLOCK button and then press the PANIC button ( on the programmed remote ) for 1 second and release both buttons. A chime will sound to indicate that the remote programming mode has been entered ( allow 3 seconds for chime to sound ). 5. Within 30 seconds of the chime, press and release the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously then press and release just the UNLOCK button on the same remote. A chime will sound indicating the remote has been programmed. Press and release the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously and then press the UNLOCK button on each new remote you wish to program at this time. Locks will cylce afer each additional remote is programmed. 6. Turn the ignition OFF and remove key. 7. Test Remotes.
