p0302 is a misfire in cylinder number 2 white smoke could be from coolant so if the head gasket is blown coolant can leak into the cylinder and cause the misfire are you loosing coolant that might be where its going
code P0420 & P0430 usually indicates a problem with catalitic coverter restriced/clogged a muffler shop can run a test to check this .a misfire in engine can also be a culprit of coverter going bad because of unburned fuel going through exhaust system
Replace spark plugs with new ones. put new muffler in. The muffler has an affect on the way engine runs. (back pressure) is needed. At this age you may need a head gasket(s). Compression check on all cylinders. The list goes on... Good luck
One potential cause is too much gas. It may be running "rich". Your car
may also be burning a little oil. White smoke is water or antifreeze. If you are loosing coolant from the
radiator, it's probably a blown head gasket. If not, it is just
condensation in the exhaust pipe that is evaporating as the pipes heat
up. If the car is running too rich, the unburned gas will cause black
smoke and burning oil smoke will be blue.
Heres the bottom line...My dad used to tell me that nothing is worth more than you are wiling to pay for it. What you now have is a mix of unmatched components that sound nice, and possibly may give you a one or two mpg increase. However, a good exhaust system is carefully engineered to take advantage of sonic as well as physical, laws that influence the way both sound and air (exhaust) behave in certain diameter pipes, when traveling at pre-determined speeds. Most stock exhaust is far from that, rather, it is the cheapest easiest means to permit exhaust to escape from the engine while making the least amount of noise, while keeping the converter operating. Therefore anything you do to lower pressure will give you somewhat of a performance gain. In using a part of the stock system, you cancel some of that gain by creating another restriction. I'd be satisfied with what you have but would be concerned about passing a state inspection. If you want to learn more about exhaust and how it influences your engine there are many good books you can read on this subject. (I know that because I probably read them all as a pro racer). Good luck with your Jeep!!!
No it doesn't hurt anything but the environment and the smog polices feelings. Power improvements from a free flowing pipe. no additional power going bigger except for more noise which might make you think it is faster
Sounds like your timing belt broke. Do you know if it's ever been replaced? Usually they have a life expectancy of around 100,000 to 105,000 miles before they go. All your symptoms point towards it.
Sounds like you may have gotten some debris in your exhaust pipe or something was clogging your muffler. Maybe the innerds of you Catalytic Coverter went and got stuck or the innerds of your muffler gave out. That would be the only few things I could think of to cause something like that.
