What you are describing could be the rotors. If they are wearing badly and affect the ABS then the vehicle is not going to run correctly because the abs tells the tcs that there is a problem. Have the brakes checked right away.
harmonic vibrations at speed normally come from out of balanced drive shafts or drive angles of the drive shafts not set correctly. IT can be from worn slip joints and dry u-joints. Have a engineering shop that specialises in tail shaft manufacturer to check it out as they will have the gear to check all the items.
Lift the vehicle engine, can see the bottom plate Kepeng traces. If the roadwith obstacles and forced through the bottom plate, the engine must beknocking. The bottom plate deformation and engine oil bottom shell distance, if the distance is too near, when accelerating oil bottom shell and bottom platecollision sends out noise and vibration. So, traffic must carefully observe the road, do not cause drag bottom phenomenon. remove thebottom plate, flat correction can be.Use obd2 for automotive diagnostics , you can improve vehicle safety performance and driving more safer.
Rob, assuming this is a 4X4? Sounds like a bearing. They can vibrate, snap, clunk, all kinds of terrible noises or vibrations. Axle u joints will also do this. Is it all wheel drive?
Under hard braking the ABS Antilockbrake system is designed to stop brakes locking the wheels and skidding. if you get vibration under hard braking this is the unit working correctly. If it's your brakes making the noises then check the disc pads for wear and/ or replace as required
You have a defective wheel bearing most likely, the noise sounds correct for that problem. have a shop drive it before you replace anything to confirm my guess.
Hope the oil filter was changed and with the OE type and the correct oil grade.
If so the oil pressure switch can be clogged and so produce the check engine light.
When applying brakes the steering vibrates as it can be due to faulty linkages in steering column, problem in the hydralics pump or fault in the steering rod bearings.
finally the weird noise from rear can be from a faulty exhaust , leak or poor joint in the exhaust or vibration of the exhaust with loose mountings.
Noises and vibrations are often difficult to locate even when you are there (which I'm not). If the noise is present when you are rolling, then it may be from your brakes, a hub bearing, or even a driveshaft joint. If the noise is present when you are at a standstill, then I'd check the throwout bearing for the clutch (it is stick-shift, correct?) I'd also look at all the pulleys on the front of the engine as sometimes if one is bad enough it can transmit a vibration throughout the entire vehicle. There other possibilities but generally they would give you other symptoms as well. Sorry I can't be more precise, but your problem is one that you need to actually be there to hear, drive and examine in order to find the cause!
If I understand you correctly, you feel a vibration it the brake pedal when you apply the brakes. Is that correct? Have your brake rotors re surfaced; they are warped.
"engine makes cavitating noise" ....what does this mean?
