Hello, Sounds like the flap that controls the cold air and hot air duct is not working. One duct pulls air through the heater core where the other duct draw air from the outer vent. If that flap is not working, allowing you to pull from the heater core duct, then either the switch/lever that controls the flap is faulty (more likely) or the flap is stuck (less likely). Heater not working ??? blower motor not moving any air in the system !
Blower motor relay located in the under hood fuse / relay box. Fuse F18 -40 amp - fuse F93 5 amp under hood fuse box . Also has blower motor speed controller that is controlled by the HVAC module . Contact the dealer for the location of the blower motor and then roll up your sleeves and get to work!
Before you take out the motor you might want to verify that it is receiving power. If not receiving power the motor could be good and the problem could be with the wiring - no need to replace a motor that is still good!!!!!!
I would find blower motor.. most likely under dash passenger side.then I would turn on heat and if nothing tap blower motor with something. If it comes on Then its bad
The next time it cuts off hit the motor end with a hammer handle or similar object, if it starts back up the blower motor is defective and you will need to replace it.
check fuses if they are still good change the blower motor instructions below not hard to do!
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Disconnect the blower motor lead connector from the wiring harness connector.
Remove the blower motor cooling tube from the blower motor.
Remove the four retaining screws.
Turn the motor and the wheel assembly slightly to the right so that the bottom edge of the mounting plate follows the contour of the wheel well splash panel.
Lift up on the blower and remove it from the blower housing.
Installation the new blower motor by reversing the removal steps.
