Where can I find the cheapest transmission for a Mazda 626, 4 cylinder in CA.

Hello. If you have the key to unlock that switch in your car, you must unlock it to remove that switch. Once unlocked, that switch can be removed with 'Torks' six pointed sockets. Also, it's a good idea to put your transmission in neutral and set the parking brake. Make sure the new lock cylinder is in the 'unlocked' position before you insert it into its respectful hole. there is no clutch adjustment. If it is slipping then the problem may be in the master cylinder compensating port and the fix is a new clutch master cylinder (cheapest fix) or bleed the system first (even cheaper fix)

transmission slipping could be torque converter. or tranny fluid. possibly gear teeth in tranny are ground down in one spot.

Hi, The best way is to take it to a Auto Trans Specialist who will put it on an obd scanner (saves alot of mucking around & costs about $50) this should tell you exactly what needs to be fixed.

1cylinder is first from passenger side of car!firing order is 1342!

Maybe your car U join bearing damaged,check the bearing first.If the noise from the transmission, Change the transmission oil and filter, This is the cheapest way, sometime you can solve this kind problem, but if after you change transmission oil, still have the whistle noise, probably you have to change the transmission.

I suggest that if you can take your car to a transmission shop and let them give you a quote and also get their opion, I think it is better than I give you my opion without hear the noise.

Regular is fine. I have a 626 as well with manual and it says regular.
