Have the fuel psi check before you change pump,check air filter and spark plugs .

Following is a guide to check it, but did you "burp" the system to be sure you don't have air locked in it? With it cold, start it with the radiator cap off. let it isle and warn up. Eventually the air bubble will come out, but be careful, they can splash on you easily. give it time for all of the air to come out. also: You have to have the car running. 1)Start your car 2)Disconnect the coolant temp sensor (CTS) 3)After about 10 seconds the driverside fan will come on If the fan doesn't cycle on you have to figure out whether it's a bad CTS, a bad fan or fan relay. If you disconnect the connector leading to the fan you can apply 12volts to one contact and ground to the other and the fan will spin. There may be a diode inside so if it doesn't spin right a way swap the 12v and ground leads and check again. The CTS is also sensed by the ECU but it generally takes a shorted one to make it fail. One that is 'open' would cause the fan to run all the time. More apt to be just a bad connection at the fan connector. Clean the contacts with a nail file. Also check the 40amp cooling fan fuse located in the engine compartment fuse block.

More likely is transmission problem it could cost up tp $2000.00

The 6 cylinder that comes with it is a 1992 Mazda MX-3 1.8L MFI DOHC 6cyl

Likely means OD is not working.

yes and do a lot of damage ,it is an interface engine .so not a safe engine when the belt goes.

Rebuild the transaxle & check the CV Axle Joints for problems, as well as replace all motor & trans mounts

if its reving high then shifting then your trannys going
