I have a 1999 Ford expedition and my digital mileage reader goes off and on. How do I fix the problem.

when you replaced the cluster you must of inadvertently disconnected the key reader , so now it not reading the key. think is the yellow wire but in not to sure. it goes to the ring around the ignition key.

Depend on mileage on them. Personally I don't run plugs more than about 50-60K regardless of what the owner's manual says.

Pull plug three and see what it looks like: fouled (dark oily residue, bent electrode, etc. If electrodes seem worn from use and mileage, replace plug--you'll see scooped out area on outer electrode if excessively worn, clear code and see it it runs ok. If it codes again it could be a bad plug lead as well. If code returns then check out lead to plug or replace it. Plug 3 will be on the left bank of the engine third one from the front. Plug order is:

I would say that the engine is showing signs of wear in the valve area, but I wouldn't worry about it unless oil consumption is beyond 1 quart per 1000 mi., or the gas mileage of the engine is getting low.

I have a 1999 Ford Expedition that clicks right after it starts up, but it always goes away after it's warmed up to operating temperature.

I don't worry about it since it seems to run smoothly and gets decent gas mileage for its size.

The capacity in your Expedition is 19.4 US quarts.
Depending on your location, a 50/50 mix of coolant and water should be used.
In northern climates such as here in Canada I use a 60/40 mix.

I believe it will fit. If you go to DiscountTires.com you can use their site for alternate tire sizes. Especially handy is the feature which shows you the Speedometer error for different size tires. The site will also show you recommended and popular substitute tire and wheel sizes.

The 1999 model had a 265/65/17 as an alternative. You may want to ask the Tire store you intend to use if they can reconfigure your Speedo to be accurate. Some of the Fords can be done electrically without changing Speedo gears.

I did something similar by going from a "60" series to a "65" series in the same width. On my Grand Marquis, I gained 5% mileage improvement, but have to watch Speedo until I get it reconfigured. I hope this helps to answer your questions.

There's no set mileage, man. It doesn't work like that. It all depends on how it's driven and maintained.

Engine is still tight.After being run in, it should be the same fuel consumtion

the egr valve for your expedition is about $ 60 to 70 dollars. it wil get better fuel mileage and run better also . it regulates the exaust back into the intake for optimum combustion.
