Emergency brake stuck on my 2003 durango

pull on the brake release if you haven`t done so yet it they are still on then have someone pull on the e-brake cable when pulling on the brakes release if they release then you can try to lube the cables to free them up or find which of the cables are seized and replace them.you could have the pivots that move when applying the e-brake siezed at the arm that attaches to the brake shoes/caliper on the rear brakes that you will have to take apart and free up and lube.just some suggestions.

2001 cadillac sls parked on sloping driveway with emergency brake on. Emergency brake will not release when car turned on and put in gear. Will not release by pulling down on yellow brake release lever...

There is likely a siezed cable or caliper, possibly because the hand brake hasn't been used regularly.Jack up the rear of the car,see which wheel,or both are stuck. The cable(s) will then need to be cut close to the wheel,or possibly hammered back.

1995 F350 We pulled a trailer today and after we got a little down the road the ABS light started flashing. When we stopped for gas we could not get the shifter out of park without pulling the #18 fuse....

Well, it could mean that the emergency brake has not been fully released. The ABS system light is on if something has occurred within the ABS system. Something faulty may have happened there, get it checked out!

Emergency brake locked after pull release handle

handbrake jammed on somewhere ,could be front cable ,because the rear cable is pulled by the compensator so if it was the rear one then i would expect only one cable siezed and that is normally the kerbside one.

How do you release emergency brake 94 dodge dakota after used? Brakes went out used emergency. Now i can't release them.

either there is a release handle or you may have to press the pedal down further and it should auto-release. Are you up north? salt? rusty cars? if the pedal is UP but the brakes are still applied, then the cables are rusted /siezed and you will need new cables and rear brake service to have brakes again.

Emergency brake stuck, pedal release broken

What happens is the brake cables rust inside the cable sheath and then they won't slide easily. There's no good fix for this other than replacement. It's not easy to even find where they are stuck. It might be possible to find the end of the cables at the back wheels and pull the cables back---to release the tension

Brake Pedal not always releasing

Sounds like the calipers are siezed, Suggest a full brake service to free them off.
