MAP sensor
My info says for 7.5L
federal emissions has a map sensor, no maf.
California emissions has a maf sensor, no map.
Some fords if you suspect maf sensor problem, everything off, unplug it, then start the vehicle take it for a drive. If it runs better check for a problem with the maf system. sensor--wiring circuits--computer, whatever.
Are there any applicable trouble codes? How long since a tune-up?
97 F350 7.3 diesel. Trouble with idle, (installed
The exhaust back pressure relief Sensor is taking out the idle computer ?????? A wiring diagram isn't going to help , you need a diagnostic flow chart or as ford calls it , pinpoint tests for that DTC . Your best bet , take your vehicle to a qualified diesel tech .
1997 Ford F-350 7.3 L Diesel..........brake failure
With no leaks and a little braking action returning by pumping the pedal I would suggest looking into a master cylinder. Low brake fluid level in the master cylinder will cause the brake warning light to illuminate (possibly, also the ABS light).
If the truck has the 7.3L diesel, it will have a vacuum pump which supplies vacuum for all vacuum accessories. I believe if the vacuum level drops below 10 in. of Hg, the brake light will illuminate. If the vacuum pump fails you'll know it as the brake pedal will require quite a bit of effort to effect any braking effort.
How to change clock on radio of 1997 Ford E-350 Clubwagon
For the clock:
Turn the radio on
Push and hold in the clock button
And push the seek button (left) for hours
And push the seek button (right) for minutes
There is no AM or PM
For the radio:
Find a radio station on the radio
Push one of the selector buttons on the radio and hold it down
for about 10 seconds and release
That's all it takes
You should have 5 buttons for AM
And 5 buttons for FM-1
And 5 buttons for FM-2
Good luck
Bad milage
that sounds about right to me, and if you run that fuel with ethanol in it that does not help either

Valve cover leaking on 2000 f250 ford 7.3 diesel
you can get a set of gaskets through dorman they cost about 110 dollars the driver side is a little harder there is a vent on that side leave it on the cover if you take it off the little rubber gasket will leak also disconnect your batteries because the wires for your glow plugs and injectors are molded into the valve cover gaskets there is a video on you tube just type in your truck and change valve cover gaskets
