Engine starts but does not go into gear brake light , abs light , engine lite on Radio, ac/heater, clock, cig lighter, door locks, brake lights, etc not working

Well, check if you have brake lights to start with? If you dont have brake lights, it is possibly a brake light switch under the brake pedal or a stop fuse blown. ( with brake switch malfunctioning, this could set ur check engine light and also ur brake and abs light. Check this and get back to me. By the sounds of the other accessories not working, check your 10 amp guage fuse which i am not quite sure, could be under the hood or in the cabin. keep me updated.

Brake lights not working on 1994 Chevy Silverado

if there are 2 switches on the pedal one is a cruise interrupt switch the other is the brake switch. check for current coming from the brake switch. it usually twists out and you can probe the the wires on the back side of the switch. if there is current there then start working your way out the harness. also check the master plug at the back under the bed is there current there to the tail lights? if not then there may be a break in the line from the brake switch to there

2005 chevy venture brake lights not working. 3rd light works. fuse looks good. changed switch. what left to check?

Try this push down on brake pedal while you push in or wiggle the hazard switch. If the brake lights come on then that means you turn signal switch is faulty.

Ford f150 2002 has no brake lights

yes there is. Above the brake pedal there is a switch tat turns the lights on when you press the pedal. It is tough to replace due to the lack o room to put your hands. but is an inexpensive part.

Bed brake lights don't work

This is because your brake light switch has gone out. There are two sides to the switch one goes to the two main lights and the second goes to the third light. This is a common problem but is an easy and inexpensive part to replace. It is located on the brake pedal and can be changed in just a few minutes. Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!
