The TCM is located on the fan shroud on the driver side of the truck. Its underneath a plastic cover but it's very easy to find. It is held on with two bolts at the top.
Hello, my name is Ben. This is a very common problem for GM. You have a wiper motor control module and it is most likely defective. The module is bolted directly onto the wiper motor which is mounted to the firewall under that long plastic cowl just in front of the bottom edge of your windshield.
What have you all replaced? Have you tried the wiper control module? They are a very common problem in these trucks. It is located to the left of the brake booster
You have a bad wiper module.Just go under the hood and remove the connector at the wiper motor and remove the cover. You need a 20 torx bit.Pry the module out and replace it per the instructions in the new module box.You can get this part at the dealership. You will need to add sealer to the edges of the cover to keep water out.Hope this helps.Good luck.
Fixed the wiper problem which was identical to Brad's by changing out the wiper module which is also called a pulse module or something of that nature. Pretty easy fix. You have to remove the grill that the wiper blades protrudes from in order to get to the motor (4 clips in front which can be removed by hand, remove radio antenna, a center push down retainer, two plastic end caps which pop off and then 1 star type screw on each end under the end caps). Getting the blades off seemed difficult. I used a small puller to pop them off after removing the nuts.
You can't buy this module at a regular parts store. I had to get it from the dealer so be prepared to spend $130 to $140 for the part or go to the salvage yard. Works great now.
