I have a 2003 Lincoln Cartier, My door locks, power seats, trunk lid dstopped working. I checked the 7.5 fuse and changed it (it was good) they still do not work. what about the main fuse under the hood or the relay under the dash.
Check if the batteries in key remote are good. if good nedd to reset your key by putting in the ignition just turn the dash lights on ...dont start the car and once the ignition lights shows on the dash board just press unlock and lock once ot twice until it locks and unlocks while u in the car. try that it had worked for me before should do for urs.

Do you mean power lock buttons were functional but automatic lock/unlock stopped working. Then after removing and reinserting the lock fuse, none of the lock functions work?
The BCM controls activation of all the lock actuators. The power lock/unlock buttons at the doors request the BCM to power the specific door lock with the appropriate polarity to lock or unlock. Further, the BCM has inputs from the ignition switch and the transmission selector to issue the operator programmable automatic lock/unlock.
The typical single point of failure for all door locks is the drivers switch assembly, but it requires several troubleshooting steps to isolate other potential faults.
I assume the doors can be manually locked. The problem is in the electrical circuit. That means anything from a faulty switch (the lock / Unlock button) to a loose connection. If both switches don't work then look for a blown fuse. If one switch works and the other doesn't than remove the switch and inspect its connection. If it's ok then check the switch. If both switch and connections are OK then you'll have to remove the door panel and access the lock mechanism.
You are going to need to check the power lock control moduel on the inside of the door panel. If the FOB appears to be working but the doors are not unlocking, you need to check this. I would also replace all fuses that control the locks. If both of these devices check out ok, you may need to replace your FOB. To check your power lock control moduel, manually lock and unlock your doors by pressing the lock button on the inside of the door. If it does not work, it is either the fuses or the power lock control moduel. If it works, your FOB has gone bad. Hope this helps! Please rate 4 thumbs up!
both the rear passenger side wont unlock ???? How many doors are on the passenger side ? Or both back doors don't unlock ?
Two relays lock / unlock the back door's Not the lift gate . The BCM controls the relay's . The relay's are located in the rear fuse box . Under back seat .
Hello, I had a similar problem. I checked the fuses dr unlck
10amp, dr lock 20amp, both fine. However, I finally had no choice and checked
all other fuses and the 15 amp fuse labeled "CTSY" was bad! So, check that fuse.
If a similar problem has happend to you, it could be all you need. lol
When you use your remote or insert your key in the Drivers Front door all the door locks should work at the same time by the door lock motors electrically. If you have to manually unlock the door because it will not lock or unlock by the lock motor, you need a door lock motor. The drivers and passengers front doors can unlocked with the key manually only. The rear doors you have to pull up the latch. If NONE of doors unlock electrically with the remote or drivers door lock, intermittently or all the time, you will need a Central Locking Electronic Control Module. Pressing the remote button you will hear the "beep", but no door locks will fire at all. If you have a few odd door locks not working intermittently or not at all, you will need a new door lock motor for each door lock that malfunctions. You can hear if the door locks are working electrically. Yes, they are common problem. If you can hear the door lock motor working but the door still doesn't unlock you need to take the door panel off and lubricate the door latch assembly and work the lock, loosening it up. This is common as well. Sometimes a bad door lock motor can blow the central locking fuse. You will notice it because it will take a second or two longer to lock and unlock compared to the others. If the door lock motors seem fine, install a the next step up in amperage fuse. (From 15 AMP to a 20 AMP)
