It is doing this because the transponder chip has not been synced with your vehicle. The car believes it is being stolen that is why it is shutting off. See how to Program A Transponder Key here.

After programming your transponder chip the vehicle should stay started.

SOURCE: security alarm problem

Do you have the key fob? Alot of alarms will go off if you unhook and rehook the battery. All you should have to do is disable the alarm after you unhook the battery. Is this a factory alarm or an aftermarket one?

SOURCE: 1998 chevy blazer 4x4 engine will not start no sound at all

Had the same issue, except mine just quit in the middle of an intersection. It was my fuel pump. Check out your fuel filter first, though, as I have heard those can cause the same problems and you might get lucky and only need to replace that. If not, fuel pump is a likely culprit.

Good luck!

SOURCE: car alarm on 2005 chevrolet cobalt

that is incorrect the alarm is jsut like any other it should only sound if there is a problem, which in this case there is, whoever you bought the car from is lying to you, i would have to say that the contrl module for passive alarm is bad

SOURCE: 95 camaro, factory alarm wont let me start the car what

U will need to bypass the factory VATS (vehicle anti-theft system) system, it is very simple and all you need to know is at the web page link below.

Lost my keys to a 2000 chevrolet blazer how do i get new key made or how do i start without a key

Your vehicle has an antitheft system on it. Your key actually produces a signal that is read by the ignition along with the key itself. So hotwiring is not an option.

STARTS BUT SHUTS OFF IN SECONDS? LOST THE IGNITION KEY AND BROKE THE STEERING LOCK TO START THE ENGINE. 1999 CHEVY BLAZER.

When the ignition switch is turned on, the immobilizer control module sends a challenge signal through the antenna around the ignition switch to the transponder chip in the ignition key. The transponder key responds with an encrypted key code. The immobilizer module then decodes the key code and compares it to the list of registered keys. When the engine is started, the ECM sends a request to the immobilizer module over the data bus to verify the key is correct. If an attempt is made to start the vehicle with an invalid ignition key, the immobilizer module sends a message over the data bus to the instrument cluster to flash the anti-theft indicator lamp. If the ECM does not receive a "valid key" message from the immobilizer module within 2 seconds of engine start up, the ECM will disable the fuel injectors to kill the engine. You'll need to get a new key and get it registered in the immobilizer control module. You'll need a scan tool, the VIN number, the date manufactured and a factory-assigned PIN number.

1994 S10 Blazer Fuel Issues?

are you sure the pump you installed is not defective it does happen more than you can believe. If you can run a power to the pump hot line or jump the relay and have a ear to hear if it is pumping, this is what I would suggest.. Good luck

1991 chevy s10 blazer

Check the fuse under the dash. Did you replace the inline fuel filter? If not, you could loosen the line going into the filter then turn the key to the on position. The pump should run for about 2 seconds then the relay should kick off. Turn off the key for approx. 5 seconds then cycle key back on and the pump should cycle again. If you get a 2 second burst of fuel each time then the pump is cycling. Install a new fuel filter and check the grounded wire by the tank. Hope this helps. :)
