Weak when it starts...

In the past, turning key would result in shaky start. Just the other day, car would not start (lights on dash board and all lights still work). Came back next day and car was able to start (shaky). Does this rule out batteries and generator? I suspect Starter or fuel injection?

Have the battery tested it sounds like you may have a dead cell.

What could be the cause for my vehicle NOT to even turn over, but all dash lights & security seem to work?

the dash draws but 100x less thatn the head lights.
so even a near dead battery make weak lamps work
starter needs 100amps
the had lamps 10amps
the days 0.1amps 100x less.

for get the wheels, engines dead ,wheels are last. never first.

why not jumper cable start the car just like all AAA members do.
see? do it.
and the results will solve this fastests.

if car cranks and starts and runs. then the battery was low
if low charge it , if it wont take a charge replace it.
if it does hold a charge and goes dead driving the charges system is failing, if it fails, clean battery terminals first. and at ever 30k miles.
there are many systems on the car,
each must work in there turn.

How come my wagon won't start but only sometimes?

Sounds like weak connection somewhere,I would start by one at a time, clean by scraping the prongs of each fuse. If this does not resolve your issue go by one of the parts houses that provide free electrical and charging system checks

1999 lincoln navigator turns over won't start dash board lights stay on with key out.

sounds like antitheft system is acting up..needs reprogramed maybe..pull the negative cable with the key on....kills everything..then shut the key off..reconnect the negative.. turn the key to run position for a few seconds(resets all factory presets) see if it will start..

1995 mercury villager will not start i turn the key and all the lights come on but no click no nothing.... my husband could get it to start by jumping the starter so he replaced the starter nothing he then...

mcdevito75 her, My immediate thought is a dead or weak battery, but it could be a bad starter also, here"s what to do, inside the car turn the key 1 notch to the on position, note the dash lights, now turn the key to start and note the dash lights again, do they go dim?? if they do you most likely have a weak battery, if the dash lights do not dim, open the door so the interior light comes on, any interior light, try to start the car, if the interoir light dims, you have a weak battery, if it does not dim with the key all the way to start, check and clean the battery connections, and suspect a bad starter. Any electrical appliance can go bad very quickly. Also if the battery is2 years old, replace it.

Car won't start. When you turn the key the dash lights blink. Could this be a battery issue?

yes are they dim before turning the key to start position? that would indicate weak battery.try jump starting it.

93 Saturn wont start, battery, lights, all good

There's a relay that's under the dash. keep turning the key until you find what's clicking then replace that relay, the car should start.

Turning over but wont start

Most likely the battery is weak try charging it or replacing it with one you know is good ( borrow one from another car) even a weak battery will turn on the headlights and the dash lights but not start the car
