Have you checked the timing belt ?'if that appears ok then check the ignition module which this older vehicle would have.

timing chain ,shows you how much i know about american cars ,well on most of our europeon vehicles of this age they used a ignition module mounted under the coil or inside the distributor and i aim afraid i have no product of this american built vehicle to know what the layout is so i would recomend that repost the question. If i had any idea i would tell you but never seen one so iam at a disadvantage .sorry

My 91 Dodge Dakota will not start just turns over and over.

1991 without an ECM unit is strange unless you have an older version of the engine installed
you say it has a mass air flow sensor but no CPS( crank position sensor )so that indicates that the spark timing is generated in the pick up in the distributor body amplified by the coil and then distributed out to the plugs
no spark at the plugs will necessitate checking the rotor button is turning, the distributor cap has not track marks to ground the spark out or that the coil is in effect operational
check for 12 volts at the coil terminal while trying to start and 7.5 volts at the coil when the key is in the run position
you could have a problem ignition switch or blown fuse for the ignition circuit

1992 dodge dakota wont stay running

Have you checked base fuel pressure with a gauge ?
Code 42 is a problem with the fuel pump relay or ASD relay circuit.

1992 dodge dakota wont start

If no spark check out the wiring in ignition circuit along with your ecm which fires the plugs.

1997 Dodge Dakota Sport, V6. Truck died while driving and won't start.

You need to know if it is getting spark to the plugs and fuel pressure before you start replacing parts.
It could be as simple as the ASD relay.

Stalling out at normal operating temp!

it sounds like the fuel pump is quitting once it gets warm. I've seen this plenty of times. When you turn the key to on, not all the way to start you should hear the fuel pump humm for a second or 2. When it quits on you try this to see if you get that humming. I bet the pump is dying, specially since everything else is new. Good luck and I hope this helps you.
