My dashboard lights are not working, every other
This is usually due to a lighting wire. Contact your local car repair and they should be able to repair it with a small fee of £15/£30.
This should be fine after that's sorted. Usually its just a folty wire connection e.g. if a wire has for some reason come out of place and left loose.

How to do the oil change on my Jag? having
The oil filter is very visible. It is located at the rear
of the
engine pointing downward (not sideways) on the
passenger side (North
America). The oil drain plug is also
very accessible on the lower
right side of the oil pan
pointing toward the right front tire.
If you have trouble finding a replacement filter
buy
the one for a Lincoln LS. Same thing. Also use 5W-30
Motor Oil.
Good luck.

I am changing the brake pads on our 2005 S-Type.
You will need a large C-Clamp or a cailper piston tool. Place an old brake pad against the piston in the caliper and use the C-Clamp to push the brake pad against the piston to collapses the piston into the caliper. Also open the master cylinder cap and place a towel around the area to catch any brake fluid that would come out of the master cylinder as you collapes the piston, this normal, but doesn't always happen, depending on the level of fluid in the master cylinder.

Reverse parking aid s type jaguar makes continous
Sensor fault more than likley. Best way to check is to get up close to the sensors whilst the car is in reverse gear and the and the engine is off but the ignition is on. Rest your thumb nail on each sensor and if a tick cannot be heard then this shows a sensor fault. The tick is very quiet though.
If all are ok it may be a module fault

Poping noise behind the dash when you turn the
The popping noise heard is possibily a motor operating out of its parameters. Check all the heater functions to make sure they operate correctly i.e changing from feet to screen etc to eliminate a possible motor fault

I am trying to locate the windscreen washer tank
Its under the front RHS wing behind the splash guards forward of the wheel. The pump is a push fit on the front of the tank wall via a rubber grommet seal. Best reached from under the car with the lower front splash guard removed.
Hope this helps good luck.

Forward push while stopping Jaguar S-Type 2005 model.
This is sometimes called the lurch, disconnect the battery for 30 mins to re-set the "memory" in the gearbox, this should solve your problem, the gearbox will re-learn your driving style. Make sure you have your radio code before you disconnect.

My message centre is displaying Parkbrake fault
A common fault on these cars, Often caused by low battery voltage. To reset -
Disconnect battery (make sure you have your radio code!) leave for 10 mins. then reconnect and apply foot brake and then park brake as per instructions on message center and the brake will recalibrate itself. Use this method first on any park brake fault - as 95% of the time it fixes them.
Hope this helps - good luck.
