Car will not drive forward

As it says, the body computer finds a problem with the gearbox. Could be an electrical problem or mechanical problem in the transmission.A tech would scan the body computer for trouble codes to know where to start looking. This may require a dealer scanner.

I bought a 2000 range rover already converted to coil springs and shocks, now I have an eas fault constantly on the dash, how do I get rid of the eas system in the computer?

For many repair operations you don't want the suspension to be adjusting itself up and down while you work on the vehicle. Classic air sprung models have a disable switch under the seat, but this is lacking on the 4.0/4.6. On these models, the following options are available for disabling the system: 1. Leaving a door or the tailgate open effectively freezes the suspension 2. Unplug the air suspension delay timer, a small black box that looks like a large relay under the drivers seat.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON MY 2000 LANDROVER DISCOVERY

  • Hello and thank you for the opportunity to assist you.
  • This light means a sensor has sent a fault to the PCM. Now you have to pull the codes to know what happened. You can have this done at any major parts store in your area for free. Auto Zone, Advanced and NAPA to name a few. Then write the codes down so you can cross them with what is wrong and how to fix it. If you are not having any symptoms then you it may have been a glitch. You can get the codes read, write them down and then clear them. If the light stays away the great but if it should return you can cross the codes you have now with the ones you get and determine the reoccurring issue.
  • There is no way for me or anyone to know why the check engine light is on without having these codes. Even if you are noticing something wrong with your car it would be nothing short of a waste of time and money and effort to attempt to try to fix something without them codes. If you get the code[s] and list them here I will happily further assist free of charge as a continuation of help for the your car trouble. Again, I will help you further for free but there is nothing I or anyone can do without the code[s].
  • Also, when you return with the codes, please tell me what symptoms you are having.
  • I look forward to assisting you further and thank you for using FixYa.
Regards,Tony

I have a 4.0 Range

P1412 = Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction (Bank 1)
This is from the EOBD section of the manual.
From the SAI section:
If the vacuum operated SAI control valves malfunction, the following fault codes may be stored in
the ECM diagnostic memory, which can be retrieved using ’Testbook’:
P1412 is one of these, particulary described as : SAI system fault (LH side) - air delivery not reaching catalysts.
(DS note. The Left Hand side is as viewed from the drivers seat, not from the front of the enngine bay looking backwards!).
The above system faults could be attributable to anything which might prevent air delivery to the exhaust manifolds (e.g. disconnected or blocked SAI delivery pipe, disconnected or blocked vacuum pipe etc.)

The car runs fine, it must have been a really cold start for this to come up.

P1415 = Secondary Air System, Bank 2, Drive Cycle D: Signal. Land Rover CD lists P1415 as being the result of a disconnected or blocked SAI delivery pipe, diconnected or blocked vacuum pipe, etc.......

Range rover p38 radiator removal info

First, remove the grille, then the top panel. Remove the viscous coupling and fan. Remove the top radiator mounts, Remove the coolant hoses and oil pipes, remove 4 bolts holding the A/C and intercooler/or PAS radiators (depending if yours is diesel or petrol.) then lift up and out the radiator. Fitting is reversal of removal.
Hope this helps

What does abs fault mean

Their is a fault with the electronics on the air bag circuit. This will bring up the airbag light, you will need to see a dealer with an electronics reader to find out what this fault code is meaning. Most dealers will read it for free, and then charge for the repair from that point. If it is an orange light, just get it to a dealer when you are able to. If it is a red light, avoid driving it and get to a dealer ASAP. this will prevent any possible electrical damage and ensure the airbag will operate correctly if it has to be deployed. You have to be very careful working around airbag systems, their is a loaded charge in there and will go off like a shotgun if incorrectly tampered with. This could cause serious injury. My strong advice is to see your mazda delear as they will have the tools and expertise to diagnose and repair correctly. Good luck, let me know how you got on!
