How do I re boot my range rover suspension

hi, this is due to a couple of things. 1 is this a p36 or p38.
things like the door sensors will prevent this from lifting, its to stop it crushing your leg when foot is out.
more than likely there are 2 hieght correctors.
depends on the model. i see these where leg pops out, i get them in where a air bag has popped off, loosing all your air.
when its a p38 and lifted, if u dont push the button on the dash the computer gets confused and wont let it lift, this then needs a reset. i have lifted a lot of range rovers and the p38 is the worst, i use a 2 post lift, u got to push button on dash, this tells it its getting jacked up or lifted. i have forgot to push it a couple of times, a air bag drops off, u need tough thumbs to push it on.
listen to see if the compressor is running when running.
you must open bonnet start engine then shut door making sure all doors are shut, there is a box think it says eas (black box) you can take the cover to see it pumping, u will hear it.
if not you and none of this whats mentioned is at fault u have to have it 1 plugged in or 2 reset. hope this helps u. 1 more suggestion, im not sure about a p36, is the button on the dash on, orange light on, this locks the suspension for lifting, when down wont go up.
get back to me how u got on, i will have another think. im sure the sensor on axle.

Fan, heat and air blowing all the time wont shut off comes on as soon as I turn car on

It sound like the heat and AC dash switch control unit has developed a short and effectively fused some contacts together. The danger is that electrical shorts have the possibility of starting a fire. The electrical circuit can be disconnected by removing the heater and AC fuses from the fuse box.

No forward gears but reverse works great

Time to visit the transmission shop! First, check the transmission fluid level, though (just in case it's a low fluid condition).

Power loss in range rover p38 4.6 lt when going up hill

the p38 is a bit sluggish and slow on long steep hills, really not geared for performance but more as a piece of heavy equipment. strong horsepower wise very formidable powertrain but you're not going to have that get up and go that many drivers look for. couple quick suggestions you may want to check your plugs and wires a common weak spot in the ignition system, and i might suggest also running i can of seafoam through your engine. you deposit in your gas tank runs through with the half a tank of gas. i'm not a big advocate of fuel additives or octane boosters but in the case of seafoam it's definitely a worthwhile and proven product. don't forget also your sport mode button down next to your shift lever push that button down and it keeps your transmission from overdrive so you can accelerate into freeway traffic and climb hills without your transmission shifting 23939215-0evhjygssyfwoc20byca3z0s-1-0.jpg

I have a 2000 range rover sport hse that won't start and I have no spark what does this vehicle get spark since their is no distributer

being that it is range rover, it should tolerate :some:water, but, you may have to pull the computers and clean them and/or the connections (if they were damaged by the flooding, then I wish you good luck!)

Why is heater blower on high speed range rover p38 ?

Sounds like a faulty switch pack or the resistor pack. Strongly suggest you do not try to fix it yourself, but you insist on doing so, you will get more info on www. rangerovers.net

How do you enable a range rover engine when key battery is flat

There is a sequence of left and right turns of the key in the driver's door that will reset your bECM (Rovers brain) if the following have been tried. 1. Replace batteries in remote and 're-sync by depressing lock button on remote while physically turning and locking the door. Don't release button until locked and key removed. Repeat for unlock button. 2. Disconnect negative/earth cable from battery. While disconnected open driver's door, turn ignition to position 2, return to battery leaving driver's door open and reconnect the negative cable. Proceed to ignition. Turn off completely. Close all doors and hood and attempt starting. Should both of these methods fail, run a search here on fixya for "engine disabled Range Rover P38" This will take you to step by step instructions on resetting the bECM which I opened this post with. It has been covered many times here, including by myself, no reason to post it again. Good Luck!

Just drive and add coolant from time to time. Carefully open the filler cap. If coolant keep missing you may have a leak. If you see no leakage you can see for white smoke in the exhaust. if pressure keeps building up in the system you have a cracked cylinder head or a bad head gasket.
