Where is the fuel filter
Under vehicle, driver side, below seating area, front of rear wheelwell, mounted on chassis in fuel line.

How to access the tail light above the trunk? I
you must slide the entire high mount brake lamp unit to the left( pass side) and lift straight up. unplug the wire and remove the unit, it will be easier to change the bulb this way. make sure you use the correct bulb or the warning lamp will not go out.

I have a vibrating in the front right. At most
The problem you describe is consistant with a tire problem. Could be as simple as rebalancing, however since it does not do it when you turn left, it makes this solution unlikely, but not out of the question. I would, based on your description of the problem tend to think that your tire may be slightly out of round from the center to the left side of the contact patch, or possibly a belt separating on the inside. When you turn left, your tire will tend to ride on the right edge, you loose the vibration, which would lead me to believe that your tire is "true" on the right side of the contact area.

Car trouble: I have a lexus ls400 yr 96 so it
you need to get this vehicle scanned by an experienced technician preferably a lexus tech using lexus equipment. this will cost you a one hour diagnostic charge but it will save you money and aggravation in the long run.
Tail lamp failure indicator
have someone check the brake lights when the pedal is depressed to check if they are working properly. also check tail light housing for water damage that can cause electrical shorts.

When I set crankshaft on zero my camshafts dont match up
Check to make sure Piston #1 (usually #1 is front most cylinder on passenger side) is really at Top Dead Center (TDC) when the mark on the crank says it is (Do this by removing the #1 spark plug, and putting a long straight screwdriver in the hole, then turn the crank until it arrives at it's highest position. Sometimes the outside ring around the Harmonic Balancer spins relative to the center hub, (rubber inbetween fails as it gets older), so that the TDC mark is no longer accurate.
How do you reset abs light on 1997 ls 400
You have to fix the problem then se a scan tool to restet it if you like you can go to this web site who can tell you how to reset it for you.
http://www.airbagsolutions.com/contact.aspx I tell you this as they are able to do it over the phone and give you step by step instructions for about $20.00 the Dealer will charge $75.00 and other shops will charge $60.00 to just hook up the scanner. Also these guys do nothing but air bags and every car is different and they change from every forth of a year or half year, so they will ask for the vin to get the exact code and proceedure to reset it.
Where is the fuel filter located on a 1996 LS400
The fuel filter is located behind the back seat.there is a 9" access port in the center of the fuel tank behind the back seat. located in the center of the open port you will see a fuel hose with some hose clamps.the 3 semicircular bolts that line the bottom of the portal anchor the bracket that holds the fuel filter mounted deeper in the fuel tank.
