ensure battery terminals are clean and cables are tight and intact. check fuses and fusible link in main fuse panel. also ensure that you alternator is charging the battery during operation. any auto parts retailer for the most part will check these things at no charge.
Call a auto locksmith or have it removed to a dealer i thnk this is a immobilisor problem her the ECU is not communicating with engine and its possible it may need re-programming as the bits are not talking to one and other to put it in a easy to understand way .
From a Subaru mechanic:The FWD slot should not have a fuse in it. Remove the fuse and the AWD will work as it should. The slot is there for us to put a fuse in to test the rear portion of the AWD. With the fuse in, it shuts off power to the rear wheels.Remove the fuse and retest.From the mechanic I chatted with, the fuse should not be there - except when they are testing the AWD. I would take it out.He did say that if you run into a problem where the rear drive is not working correctly, you can put the fuse in, but ONLY LONG ENOUGH TO GET TO A SERVICE STATION - it is NOT meant as along term soluution
There's a pair of connectors, green, under dashboard on left. They should be left unplugged. When they are plugged together, they cause the lights and fans to cycle on and off for diagnostics.
Sounds like you got a bad head gasket you can rent a tool that you put on radiator in pla,e of the cap that measures exhaust and you will know for sure
The T-Stat is located under the car up front just in front of the oil pan. Watch the video at this link, the owner in the video is replacing the thermostat housing gasket which contains the thermostat. It could be the neutral safety switch if it is an automatic trans.On most cars you can disable the alarm by locking and unlocking the drivers door with the key.A mechanic would check for voltage at the starter, the neutral safety switch or clutch switch, and the key switch.
