How to install a fuel injector on a 2002 jeep

so that mean the old one is all ready removed.? or did you mean all steps in the fsm for INJECTOR. the steps are the same on all EFI fuel rail injectors. you could google that or you tube it or read the FSM. hide call keys from step 2 on, or very bad things can happen. (wife or kids no aware of danger) ill just cover the (basics) 1: per FSM , depressurize the system, in can be at 60PSI parked. so avoid fuel in eyes, or a fire. we do that first. gain access to rail under failure. (RUF) (no barking) 2: remove injector X , wire plug. (failing) 3: then detach the injector rail clamps the both rails off as one.... injector are all now loose, to pull off. 4: add new seals to new injector, and install in reverse order. that's it, only the gain access , varies,... mostly. last depressure steps: run engine, remove fuel pump relay, engine stalls. key off, hide keys! next tje FSM words (just the OFF section)
  1. Remove fuel tank filler tube cap.
  2. Perform Fuel System Pressure Release Procedure.
  3. Remove negative battery cable at battery.
  4. Remove air duct at throttle body air box.
  5. Remove air box at throttle body.
  6. Disconnect fuel line latch clip and fuel line at fuel rail. A special tool will be necessary for fuel line disconnection.
  7. Remove necessary vacuum lines at throttle body.
  8. Disconnect electrical connectors at all 6 fuel injectors. Push red colored slider away from injector. While pushing slider, depress tab and remove connector from injector. The factory fuel injection wiring harness is numerically tagged (INJ 1, INJ 2, etc.) for injector position identification. If harness is not tagged, note wiring location before removal.
  9. Disconnect electrical connectors at throttle body sensors.
  10. Remove 6 ignition coils.
  11. Remove 4 fuel rail mounting bolts.
  12. Gently rock and pull left side of fuel rail until fuel injectors just start to clear machined holes in cylinder head. Gently rock and pull right side of rail until injectors just start to clear cylinder head holes. Repeat this procedure (left/right) until all injectors have cleared cylinder head holes.
  13. Remove fuel rail (with injectors attached) from engine.

Windows are broken

Call junk yards, or buy an entire vehicle used just for the parts. Try to get one with unbroken windows and use them to replace the broken ones. I've owned my liberty since 2002 and have yet to experience this broken window issue however you may have been able to prevent them from breaking just by properly maintaining the glass, I.e. Cleaning. Once you fix the windows I'm sure it will be fine. Don't forget to change the headlight fluid also!

If the speeds sensors are unplugging does the engine can start?

you dont even know where they are.? right.posted 9 times like that....but no , if the ABS sensors failthe engine runs fine. But will have low power on hills fast.that is because the ABS speed, is transmitted to the PCM and the ECU sees that missing (p0500s)and then can no longer CALCULATE ENGINE LOAD correctly. it runs ok but not like NEW>is this CLEAR>??????not to mention CRUISE is now dead.cant run cruise with NO SPEED. NO WAY.posted now 9 times. now.this is a new record,,,, congrats to you.?and was answered at least 8 times.but my guess is you don't know what speed sensor means.Yes, it is tricky,,, this... on this car with 4wd right?, and with automatic trans right?the car has no transmission tail shaft speed sensor (like in olden days,) correct.i posted the quote from the FSM master book, miss that?the ABS sends speed to the PCMso , if you dont scan the ABS box.you will never know what sensor is failingunless you looked for damage on all 4 wheel abs sensors and go bam look here, this wire to this sensor is broken.did you look first? that be best of best to do first.if they look pretty scan the ABSlets do that again, scan the ABS.

My 2002 Jeep Liberty is stuck in 2nd gear, the speedometer is no longer working as well as its components. I have changed the rear and middle speed sensors but it is still not drivable. What can I do

you need to scan it, to fix it or diagnose it. the speedo runs off ABS speed, sensor. scan the ABS too. or you will never find cause. there are many speed sensors, not just one like in old days. here is how that works.(ascii art) ABS >>>PCM/TCM and BCM. >>> and cluster brain (speed) so if the transmission sensors work ,and ABS speed is dead. the TCM can not know speed, so can not shift correctly. the whole system needs to be scanned. on the old cars the TCM had its own 2 sensors (or 3) front ,middle, and tail. (tails was speed) this is now changed. the evolution is complex, so I'll skip that.

Speed sensor malfunction can let spark plug do not work well?

no. not ever.! short answerthe ok is this post redundant to you P0500 postsand no symptoms stated but just that?why not just stick to one post and add to it please.yes, jeep calls this a speed sensor.(newer jeeps have 3)which engine, and size, and is it gas or diesel?which transmission, there are up to 3 used.??does the Speedometer in dash act up , wrong, in any way?on the liberty, is speedo and odometer workingdoes the trip reset button work right? (clears it)P0500 is not ABS speed sensors (x4)but on this car read this , in the FSMmy car does this too, mine is a 2008 JK wranger with 6speed box. stick and has NO tranny tail shaft speed sensor. (my car steals speed from ABS )fact.did you read the FSM first to see how it really works.here is an excerpt from the KJ book,"Vehicle Speed System - The BCM monitors avehicle speed input from the vehicle speed sensor(without Antilock Brake System ) or from theController Antilock Brake (CAB)(with ABS), calculatesthe vehicle speed based upon a programmedaxle ratio/tire size (electronic pinion factor), andtransmits the vehicle speed information to the PowertrainControl Module (PCM) on a hard wired outputcircuit."that block of tests. saysif your car has ABS the Speed sensor is now THERE.ABS always knows, speed, so is FREE DATA !! dig?

2002 Jeep Liberty oil pressure light comes on in cold

Chrysler mounted the oil sensing unit on these motors directly above the oil filter. It is very easy to accidently hook the sensing unit with the oil filter wrench and crack or break it. For anyone whose oil light problem developed right after an oil change, this may be the problem. To change the unit, pry up the plastic retaining clip with a screw driver and unplug the wire harness. If the plastic part of the sensor is broken, (or if you break it to facilitate easy removal), you can remove the sensor with a 27mm socket. Once you have removed it, use a piece of CLEAN pipe cleaner to insure the hole isn't plugged with sludge which could also cause the oil light to come on. Screw in the new unit finger tight, then snug up with a WRENCH. You cannot use the socket to tighten it as it would damage the plastic part of the new sensor. Plug the wire harness back on, then start the engine to make sure it doesn't leak oil around the new unit.

Where is the DRL module on a 2002 jeep liberty

Built into the body control module(BCM). You just can't change this module, too many things in it. Including security. If you do it. You have to buy a new one and have it programmed.

Out of nowhere the gate light came and started binging. I've tried opening it and shutting it. Nothing works.. The glass rattles on the gate.. Tried tightening everything still no relief

The latch mechanism is defective. It is not getting to the second "closed all the way" position. It has two parts to the latch mechanism that allow it to catch.."safety part" and "closed" part. The micro switch in the latch mechanism is informing you the second "closed" latch has not fully engaged.
