IF THE BATTERY IS FULLY CHARGED, 12.60 VOLTS & THE CABLES ARE CLEAN & TIGHT, THERE ARE FUSIBLE LINKS AT THE STARTER THAT SUPPLY POWER TO EVERYTHING IN THE VEHICLE. THEY ARE FASTENED ON THE SAME LARGE TERMINAL AS THE MAIN BATTERY CABLE ON THE STARTER. THE FUSIBLE LINKS ARE SPECIAL WIRES DESIGNED TO BURN INTO IF A SHORT CIRCUIT HAPPENS. THE BIG BLACK THING THERE IS NOT A FUSE, IT IS JUST A CONNECTOR. TO FASTEN THE MAIN WIRE TO THE FUSIBLE LINK WIRE. IF YOU PULL ON THE FUSIBLE LINK IT WILL STRETCH LIKE STIFF RUBBER. IF IT STRETCHES IT WILL NEED TO BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED. IF IT DOESN'T STRETCH IT IS PROBABLY OK & IT MAY BE A BAD CABLE.
How can i to change the odometer dash lights
Either reach up in there and twist and pull each one, or remove the instrument cluster and change them. It takes some time to reach up there but it can be done. If you're not familiar with them, stop at a salvage yard and ask to see just about any instrument cluster to become familiar with what you're feeling for. They're 194 bulbs. Please rate my assistance and leave a testimonial. Happy New Year.

First thing you want to do is check the heater control valve on the engine side of the firewall attached to one or both of the heater hoses. Coolant must pass through it for the heater to work. If the valve is good, make sure you are getting flow through the heater core (you can run a garden hose through it) "blend door" is inside the heater box and is moved either by a small vacuum chamber (looks a lot like the vacuum advance mechanism on older chevy distributors). or it is moved by a cable. Whichever you have, it can be found on the heater box under the dashboard.
Easiest way to check them is to watch the heater box and with the engine running move the heater control Whichever type of actuator you have it should move the arm for the door when you do that. If you find one that does not work (for vacuum ones only) use a hand held vacuum pump and try to make it move. If it does, it's good if not, you either have a bad dash control or disconnected vacuum supply.
If cable type, find out why the cable isn't moving.
Trying to locate thermostat
Follow the top hose from the radiator to where it connects to the motor. Remove the hose at the motor and then remove the housing the that the hose was connected to. Under that housing is where the therostat will be located. Make sure you compeltely remove the old gasket before installing the new gasket or it will not seal properly.
