Car wont start

Hi, Have your machanic check the fault codes stored on computer. There are a lot of things that could go wrong. It is better to have someone who has experence with this. Good luck.

I have a 91 Barrette

Hi,

I am sorry to hear regarding the trouble.

Though i have never seen these problems in Beretta due to winter, i would rather recommend you to have an oil pressure test carried out to check for faulty oil pump. This is a common problem on these models and could cause cold start.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

The switch for the high

The first thing that I would recommend checking is the fuse panel. If that checks out, then you are looking at replacing the switch that operates the high beam, and the cruise control.

The fifth and reverse don't

They share the same synchro or synchronizing clutches in the shifter assembly. I would suspect you either have a worn out synchro or damage in the shifter assembly at the top of the tranny. Quite often the synchros get worn out and have trouble engaging, but sometimes the check balls that lock in the shifter to locate the shift forks, become worn out. I'd take it to a dependable tranny shop and have the synchro diagnosed.

Where is the crank position sensor located?

What engine? Both are on the back of the block. Between the engine and transmission. On the 2.2 engine it is behind the ignition module.

We`re getting heat blowing out the heater vents

Hello Ruckus.
There is a vacuum controlled actuator on the heater box to the right of the drivers foot.
You may need to remove a hush panel to see it.
The vacuum line may be cracked or broken to this.
Or the mechanical connection to the door may have fallen off.
If it appears to be intact check for vacuum at the line when you move the control.
Here is a diagram to help you locate it. The actuators are on the left side of the diagram.
