The 3.4L engine has special pistons that are designed to expand as the engine heats up. When the engine is cold, the pistons make a knocking sound that resembles lifter noise or piston slap. As long as the noise goes away after the engine warms up, don't sweat it; this is normal.
Coolant light says hot and temp gauge goes to hot when stopped with no leaks
dont know what diagnostics they have done but that is certainly a possibility. Car would normally , but not always, not run well/idle rough also before overheating started. If gasket is blown internally your oil will probably look milk coffee coloured instead of dark brown.
Another possibility is a faulty thermostat, but their diagnostics may have ruled that out.

My windows will not go up my radio is not working and my air don't work
Your BCM Body Control Module is not working right. Is the security/service vehicle soon light on. It controls radio, ac, lights, windows and keyless entry system. Hope this helps it helped for my 02 Buick Rendezvous. I went to my local salvage yard and removed the BCM and radio because if you install a new BCM the radio will be locked so grab the radio while you're there and it should work like a charm good luck.
How do i remove the steering column?
You will need to disconnect the steering shaft from the rack on the engine side of the firewall, make sure the wheels are pointed straight ahead to make it easier for replacement. You will need to disable the air bag system and make sure the column is locked before taking anything loose, too many revolutions of the steering wheel will ruin the clock spring. Take the lower trim off from under the dash and unbolt the column. Remove any electrical connectors and the shift linkage and shifter/ brake interlock. That should about do it.
Engine computer
usually in front of the center column located under the dash and bolted to the firewall
How to replace crank sensor
Looking at a repalcement crank sensor online it appears to be held in place by single bolt; probabaly a 10 mm hex head bolt. The sensor uses an o-ring so you will have to pry the sensor out after removing the bolt. When installing the new sensor, spray the new o-ring with silicone spray so it will slip into palce more easily. (You could use silicone gease as well.)
