91 ford explorer dies when in gear is it the tork converter
the torque converter has little to do with engine performance. The engine should be programmed to compensate for the gear engagement and run/idle under load. I would run the fault codes to find the faulty sensor that is not telling the ECM to increase rpm's on gear engagement.

The v-6s in the pont. Aztecs are bad about pulling the rocker arm studs out of the heads,easy to fix,just have to be familiar with how to install heli-coils and of course how to fish the push rod out with a magnet
What can be the problem as to why my time chain lite is on?
Is there high mileage on the vehicle? Do you hear slapping noise or vibration at the timing chain cover. It may be that the chain has stretched. Get a trouble code scan at Auto Zone or Advance Auto and see what codes come up. The codes will give a better idea of what's going on with engine.
Once you have the codes, you can do a web search for them to get more information about the codes.
Aztek security light
Only light on when starting it is security, and it will not crank over??
The sensors for the security go bad in those, about $80 cost and an hour labor to replace.
How to test j style fuses
First all - what do you mean "J -style" fuse? All cars I know use a small two pronged plastic enclosed fuse - All fuses can be checked in several ways... 1. If it has a clear/colored case you can see the fuse element - it should be solid with no breaks, 2. If it doesn\'t have a clear case check it with a ohmmeter - it should read zero ohms, 3. If no ohmmeter... touch one terminal a small 9v battery to one end of the fuse and touch the other end of the fuse and the other terminal of the battery with your tongue at the same time... you should feel a small electrical charge. 4. Also... just change it with another fuse of the same value - most cars have more than one.
